HISTORY, STORY, EXPERIENCE, COMMENTS
Grandfather had an original 1955 Thunderbird which he picked up in Detroit; Susan and I had a lot of fun with other retro bird owners in Thunderbirdnest.com going to events around the country. Sold "Illinibird" in 2013 when I retired and I now regret it. The Whisper White Thunderbird is a 2003 and belongs to my friend.

Nice car, what made you decide to sell it in 2013?
I developed bi-polar disease and at the time didn't know what was wrong with me. I'm now on meds and I'm back to my old self. I regret having sold it and later tried to purchase another 2002 Thunderbird along with purchasing a new Cadillac CTS, a new house in Florida, and all sorts of other things I didn't need. My wife wisely got me the help I needed. She isn't wild about me getting the Mach E but I assured her this was different as I've never had an electric car and before I'm no longer around I wanted to try one. We're keeping our 2015 Acura MDX for our long trips (it's a wonderful SUV has all the electronics the Mach E does except OTA updates) and our 2016 Fusion Hybrid (we're "loaning" it to our 16 year old grandson).

Ah sorry to hear that but glad you got a handle on it. You will always have the memories. I have a 2006 Mustang myself and while it has no major issues, it is ever more expensive to keep it in great, not merely ok, condition as a 15 year old car. I too don’t want to sell but sometimes wonder if it wouldn’t be the worst thing if the car got totaled while parked, particularly after paying the mechanic for service... Anyways, you probably have saved yourself quite a bit of coin by not having the T-bird between years 11 and 19 of ownership!

True. I check in on my old T-Bird forum and they’re breaking down now and nobody has any parts. And you wouldn’t beleive the prices they’re charging for T-Bird memorabilia! Too bad I sold my stuff off in 2013 I’d have a fortune in all of it now.

I love Route 66! We did the entire route from Chicago to Santa Monica in 2015.

I'm ready to do the drive again... maybe this time with the Mach-E!

Sorry just saw this. I retired in 2013 and was having health issues and my wife and I reluctantly decided that it was best to sell it. We had a wonderful 11 years with it but with my issues we knew we wouldn’t use it. Now I’m sorry we got rid of it.

Good luck trying to find chargers for your Mach E.
