2023, bought it 2 weeks ago. Less than 2000km on the odometer. It's not rust, I've tried the speed up slow down thing while shifting to neutral multiple times. In fact the friction brakes are always silent. This only happens if I have 1-pedal drive on, or am braking in drive. Consistently...
