Okay, I'll jump in on this again, and maybe it's my marketing degree speaking.
What are the largest selling types of vehicles? Trucks and SUVs
When thinking of Ford, what fast consumer vehicle do you consider sporty and fast? Mustang
What segment of the population can afford a vehicle that starts at over $40K?
What baby boomer didn't want a Mustang when they were teens or 20s but couldn't afford it?

You got to go with what works.

Ford call it another pony in the stable.
