“Tear” in Driver’s Seat Upholstery - Recommendations?

So, I just noticed this small “tear” in my driver’s seat upholstery. Note that it doesn’t seem to go all the way through - it just seems to be in the topmost layer of material. Any suggestions on how to deal with it?

Many people have had their seat replaced for this under warranty but would be useful to know what options are available once out of warranty.

My drivers seat going like this, thinking about replacing them with GT seats, wifey don’t like the standard ones, wondering if they will the fit & work?

Well, as you can see, GT seats aren’t an option for me - I have the “space gray” interior.
I’m at over 36K miles now, so I’ll just ask the dealer about this and a couple of other minor issues when I go in for the 40K service.
