Or is it just another flavor of disappointment.well... i guess i have 1 week break from my usual disappointment.
…and with that hope, by then they haven’t closed ‘23 orders which I doubt. Any odds on a select AWD with ct package IBSM ordered 3/27 being pushed to a ‘23?Just guessing... around 8/15,22, and for next 3 schedule weeks, Ford will schedule the four weeks of October (last of 2022MY MME production). Cleanup scheduling week of 9/12, last of 2022MY scheduling. Then, notifications of conversion of unscheduled 2022MY MME orders to 2023MY may begin. Ford may begin scheduling 2023MY orders on 9/15/22. Hopefully, they would schedule converted 2022MY orders ahead of the new 2023MY orders that they'd begun accepting 8/25/22.
Skepticism about Ford's allocation and scheduling system is well earned. My bet is the start of production for the 2023 MY gets pushed out at least a couple of weeks to November 15th.
If Ford is really moving toward a complete online ordering system, the dealers won't be involved in the ordering system, thus, no need to know . Ford said weeks ago that 2023MY ordering would begin 8/15, then changed it to 8/25. So, with Ford's scheduling "black box" we must wait for events to reveal their actual performance, eh?My dealer was saying they havent heard when the order bank is gonna open for 2023, I guess the longer that takes the more likely the 2022s wont get converted
Buck up camper. We will get October build dates. I feel it....I ordered 3/17, I doubt mine will be scheduled, ever. No production date, nothing. I’m sure there are thousands of others before me, so no chance I’ll get scheduled.
Hopefully mine is faster than 41 weeks, but 41 weeks would put me around November 23rd! That would probably put my delivery into 2023....If Ford is really moving toward a complete online ordering system, the dealers won't be involved in the ordering system, thus, no need to know . Ford said weeks ago that 2023MY ordering would begin 8/15, then changed it to 8/25. So, with Ford's scheduling "black box" we must wait for events to reveal their actual performance, eh?
Another part of Ford's pronouncement was that scheduling of 2023MY MME would begin around 9/15/22 with production to follow starting the week of 10/31/22. We can hope that unscheduled 2022MY MME orders will get scheduled before any 2023MY MME orders. I don't think this is what happened in the 21-22 transition, but it's impossible to quantify since Ford hasn't said. Common sense would say Ford must have scheduled all 2022MY MME orders, all the way to end of 2022MY production 10/30/22, by 9/15/22 in order to be "fair" to those folks who ordered 2022MY MME months before any 2023MY MME could be ordered. There is also the looming promise to double MME production which, apparently, can only be done at Cuautitilan if Ford adds another production line (no evidence of this, yet). We've seen premium AWD ER MME orders get pushed off until months after Select and GT models with the same ordering dates. Are September and October 2022MY production going to emphasize these much-delayed models or would they end up being the victims of involuntary conversion to 2023MY and end up being delivered in 2023 when the Federal tax credit is likely to be halved? (Grim speculation from one who will have waited 41 weeks for my MME order to get built the week of 9/19/22, if it's built then, rather than postponed again.)
