Plant was down first two weeks of August

4865 produced in august.
15 total production days, 6 days of production a week ( 8/15 - 8/31). of august.
324 vehicles produced per day.

Ford still has a long way to go to hit the 4,000 /week number.

Based on those sales numbers, it looks like Ford has yet to pass the 200K phaseout trigger of the old federal tax credit. Not that it matters anymore...

Nope, these August sale numbers got them past 200k. The IRS website has sales through June reported and July and August sales press releases combined get them past 200k. You are right that it doesn't matter anymore, but it's now official that nobody was gonna get 7500 credit for the Mach-E next year with the old law. We shall see with the new law...

Going from the end of 2021 numbers on the IRS website, and the YTD sales quoted in the press release, I got 196K.

I wonder if they are counting completly new orders, or are they including 2022 to 2023 roll overs

hmm..... After more than 1 year of production, Ford still can only make less than 6,000 (average) Mach-E per month. For comparison, VW's new plant at Chattanooga is making 7,000 ID.4 per month right off the bat. Ford needs to put their acts together, otherwise they are letting the market slip away.

That's why they are building new plants, like Blue Oval City/Battery Park, which haven't been announced for the Mach-e so far, sounds like more F-150 and probably Ranger BEV production, but they are likely trying to expand their BEV product line and not build a new plant for each product line. I don't expect to see increased Mach-e production until they do the electric Explorer.

For is better off in the long run to offer more product options in other segments than to dump all their free capital just into making more Mach-es, especially if the margins on them have been as tight as indicated. I think the Mach-e was meant to be a test bed for their BEV future more than where they want all their ducks to be like Tesla seems comfortable with. The mid-size crossover BEV segment is also hilariously crowded to where Ford wants to wait and see how that pans out before building another plant.

I imagine if they see the Mach-e sales remain strong they could expand CuautitlΓ‘n
like they are doing for REVC (Rouge Electric Vehicle Center) that builds the Lightning.

To be fair, they are ramping up to that point. They started production in July and are shooting for Q4 ramp up to 7k.

Those numbers are disappointing especially no increase since this year. If Ford is aiming for 200k a year by end of next year, they need to keep ramping up. Are they still supply restricted? Chinese BEV sales are seeing steady high month over month increases (except MME, which is not doing well in China).

Ok. If you want to be fair, their original plan was start production in Sep and they accelerated production by two months.
