Using IRS numbers for 2021 (159,588) + year to date sales numbers for the Mach-E (22,645), Lightning (4,469), and E-Transit (3,534), I count 190,236 Ford tax credit eligible vehicles sold to date without counting any 2022 Escape Plug-In sales.

I think it is extremely likely at this point the 200,000 mark will be breached this quarter, and so the full credit will remain in effect until December 31, 2022. And then if the new tax credit law passes and comes into force on January 1, 2023, Ford wouldn't have missed a beat (assuming eligibility for at least $7,500 under the proposed law).

The only thing you are also missing is the Lincoln PHEV's, which like the Escape PHEV has no sales numbers. Probably not many of those, but gets them marginally closer to 200k, which indeed is inevitable by the end of August I would think.

Good. I really want to see Ford Model T the heck out of EVs. Only with more color choices.

Good analysis. I predict they will hit the 200K sales trigger by the end of this month.

Wow, the production is really ramping up! Is this the highest monthly production we have seen so far?

I'm guessing the sales figures were goosed a bit by the recall.

Hes talking about the production number which has little to do with sales. It is one of if not the highest production month yet, but not by a lot. There were a few months last year of 7k+ production as well.
