📲 FordPass App 4.25.0 released w/ Charge Rate Indicator!

they sorta have that... it's the "Charge to 100%" button. It will start charging if it is plugged in waiting for the schedule.

But if it's not plugged in, you can't do a damn thing until it starts charging. I have a schedule it says charge to 85% starting at 1:00 am until 7:00 am 7 days a week. If on Sat morning I discover that I don't have enough of a charge I would like to be able to just hit Charge NOW!

False alarm: I rebooted the phone and it is working now.

My app does show both "Charge Now" which appears when the charger is plugged prior to the preferred charge time. Also shows "Charge to 100% when the settings is for less than 100%.
I want the ability to defer charging until the preferred charge time, even when the target charge level can't be accomplished by the end of the preferred charge time. I shouldn't need to change the charge % in the vehicle, on my app, and on my wife's app just to delay charging until 11 p.m. I'm sound asleep well before then.

I am seeing the Android app be 2 kW low:

But it's a nice addition! I'll take it over nothing. I hope the car displays get it too.

It would be nice to see amps too but kW is a better overall indicator of power being delivered, so is more essential. Nerds wish for amps.

Edit: I know there are losses in the cabling and other places, but 2 kW seems extreme. I bet Ford avoided putting kW in before now because they know people will be confused by discrepancies like this. But I still think it's good to have. Also, maybe the real FordPass app number is 8.95 kW but it is truncating on the screen to 8 and that would make it only ~ 1 kW discrepancy. Another decimal point in the app would be nice.

If it is not plugged in you can not charge it or command to charge it as it is not plugged in. If it is plugged in you have a tap to charge it any time see the bottom of the second image here.
