I did buy a tow hook. It is an odd super-coarse left-handed thread. It is not a DIN or a JIS pitch, so I am not finding a tap for the thread so that I can make a female receiver for it. Ford also did not drill a hole in the US-spec bumper for the tow hook. There is also no hole in the US-spec bumper behind the access panel in the front bumper cover. 😕🐩

In addition to no tow hook, EU models have a resistance heater imbedded in the windshield, North American models do not. EU models have a tow hitch option, NA models do not. I am sure there are other differences, and they are all produced on the same assembly line in Mexico.

I wish we had all three of those EU specific features. I put a tow hitch on my car, but the other two are beyond my ability to update.
I agree. Someone at Ford told me that the heated windshields are many times more expensive than the standard windshield on the MME. I can see that being an issue for the chip-prone areas around the country.
