This could be true to a degree, but my vehicle is going to Northern California and appears to have gotten zero priority with both the build and shipping. And there are plenty of vehicles going to same way everyday, so IDK.
Keep the faith. I’m in NorCal as well. I just got the notification that my car is built. They started building it on January 4th and shortly went into chip-hold limbo. No shipment notification yet, and I have two different ETA windows: 4/28 to 5/4 or 5/17 to 5/23. I‘m hoping for the former, for obvious reasons. but it is a positive sign.

Last week I finally got fed up and searched around on line to find the e-mail of Ford's top "Customer Experience" and "Customer Service" execs - and to Jim Farley (whose e-mail was the only one that bounced back). As many of us have seen, Ford does not have an e-mail address for Customer Service but I found then through a consumer advocacy website. I sent the following note:

I wanted to relate the infuriating experience I’ve had ordering a Mustang Mach-E. I ordered a Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition with an order date of 7/14/2021. This turned out to be the first build week for the 2022 models. The vehicle went into “Build” status on 1/4/2022 and has never left. I have received no communication from Ford (corporate) about the delay. I finally reached out to the local dealer (XXXXXXXX) who confirmed my suspicion that the car is on “chip hold”. My vehicle VIN is XXXXXXXXXX, order number XXXX.
The inexplicable part of this experience is that Ford seems to have adopted a “First In / Last Out” policy. Identical new vehicles come off the line each week and get shipped. A colleague went to the same dealership in in October and ordered a Mach-E with the exact specification (he literally requested that it be built to the same specification as mine) but in a different color. It was shipped on Feb 25 and should arrive next week; So, an identical car ordered 3 months after mine will arrive 2-3 months before mine. Even the expected arrival date of my car is unknown; my estimated delivery date in January was May 19, but Ford has now removed estimated delivery dates from its website.
As frustrating as it is to see vehicles ordered months after mine roll off the line and be shipped, there is at least some logic about the efficiency of using chips for cars moving down the line. However, I see from an online forum that cars that were built and went into “chip hold” weeks after mine have now been completed and shipped.
Reports from colleagues who have received their vehicles are positive. However, the lack of any communication about production status and the apparent First In / Last Out policy has diminished my enthusiasm for the car - and to some extent the organization.
The remedy I would like to request is for Ford to provide me with an update on my order status and an estimated delivery date.

The following day I received a call from a Ford Customer Service agent. She related that Ford had recently become aware of the issue and was working to address it; she also relayed that they sent someone out specifically to retrieve my that morning car and install the chips. It showed as "Built" that sane day 3/16 and I received the Ford e-mail. It does not yet show as shipped.

Excellent letter. Actually glad to see that they apparently listened and moved to remedy your situation. Hopefully the shipping time is short.

Is it too late to co-sign this letter? Oh I guess so. Congrats though and nice job doing the work on this. Hopefully they recognize the total problem and take care of the rest of us too.

Very nice job and well stated. Hopefully, as more of us point out the apparent First In/Last Out approach going on at Ford Mexico, the sooner that problem gets resolved - albeit not soon enough. It seems the legitimate chip issue started it, but a poor and unjust resolution has ensued. Unfortunately, this chip issue will probably not go away soon and as they ramp up for next year's group, they need to have a better plan and need to be sure that that better plan is followed.

I've tried to get a login for Palsapp and United Road to track our Mach E...but can't see how to do it. Anyone know how? My dates ping ponged a few times but now my Premium Ext AWD has shipped and should be here 4/4 to 4/10. My luck....we are out of town those dates, so will get it after the 4th.

For United road, you get the register option only on phone. For palsapp you don't need a login, the VIN field is hidden and you need to modify HTML.

For Palsapp access, PalsyWalsy describes the html coding change for a PC. For a Mac, same instructions, but use "command F" instead of "control F".
You can also just open chrome browser>got to palsapp.com>hit f12>control F>type "vin"

It will then look like this:
Screenshot 2022-02-25 094844.png

Right Click and select "edit as html" to Change the circled portion by deleting everything between the <> except for "div" so it look like this:
Screenshot 2022-02-25 095302.png

Click anywhere else, and voila, working search bar pops back up. Can hit F12 to close the scripting. Enter VIN and Bob's your uncle,

What are the email addresses? I did the same on chat, got a ticket open, but would love to email as well.

Awesome...what build group number is your car? I had 1004 and went to 1812...and have a fully loaded GTPE (curious why your car has two additional modules). My car is in build group 3565 and I got the build is done e-mail on 3/18. My car went from 1004 on Feb 10 to 1812 on Feb 15...and then it sat in "Chip Hold" until the 18th. It was brought back into the factory, the chip was added and then the car was done. FYI: There were NO changes to the module count or programming since Feb 15th.
