If I remembered correctly, it's the batch number for cars being produced. I.e., someone in this group shares the same batch number as me and is not that far away location wise, so we think it's groups of cars being produced at same time.

Sounds about the same. I ran a "countunique" function on mine. My hypothesis was that the vehicles with more modules were more likely to be delayed. I'm not sure that holds up.
It can also activate subscriptions. So deff don't press it.

People have reported activating their car before. It requires someone at the ford plant to accept it. Once you do it, you can track the physical location supposedly. No idea if this affects battery at all.
On the 1/3 thread multiple people have confirmed it activates your 3 year GPS and 3 year blue cruise subscriptions. It is NOT recommended.
