Congrats. Just realized we’re in the same location. My dealership is Autonation Valencia. I’m hoping for delivery next week. Car Is now constructively placed status in Mira Loma. I believe this color will be the first around SCV.
Yea my car was also Mira Loma and then mysteriously showed up in Valencia a few days later (I had no idea how to track it from Mira Loma) so hopefully you will get yours in the next few days. Pretty painless process going through AutoNation Valencia, they make you fill out the credit application again (despite having already done it online) but they honored the X-plan and got Hobbes all purty prior to me taking delivery so no complaints. Definitely have not seen Cyber Orange yet in the SCV so if you do see one, its probably me!

@GrandPrixPete Glad to hear that you had a fairly smooth process. Mines a space white GT, haven’t seen a GT in space white yet but who knows it’s gaining popularity. Love the cyber orange but I’m too much an introvert and couldn’t get myself to do it. Still love the space white though especially in the sun.

I have a MY22 production date of 04/08/22 and am confirming everyone from this build week should have the hands-free lift gate sensor module pre-installed, but disabled. I used the DIY on the forum to enable the module using Forscan. Everything works as it did on our MY21.

Cant wait to actually take delivery of my car. Already have the OBD cable and Forscan, ready to tinker with her. First mod will be to re-enable the hands free lift gate. Thanks for letting us know Connor. Stll no movement on my slow train from MO, unless NS tracing is broken. Wooooooooo

This is awesome! It’s way out of my league and there is no way I would know the first thing about starting - but still awesome to know the functionality is buried in there somewhere!

Finally picked up the car this weekend. Car actually arrived at the dealer Wed, but my sales rep was out Wed and Thurs. He called Friday saying the car was here. Picked up Saturday morning.

Short story. I have ordered a car in Jan and my DORA had a $2000 regional discount line item. I was curious about this one day, so decided to google it and so happens to find a few other listings with the same regional discount. I called a dealer inquiring about the discount, since it did say residency restrictions applies. We chatted about the discount and he told me the car was available. I wasn't planning on getting their dealer ordered car, but over the weekend no one put a despot on it so, I called back and discussed price. They said they would sell it at MSRP, no markup, so I put a deposit on the car on 4/4. Which so happens to be the scheduled build week.

My only slight complaint was, Friday when my sales guy called and we were discussing final numbers, all of a sudden there was a $795 Zurich Shield line item added. I tried to get him to remove it, but he said it was included on all new cars they sell. Since this was a dealer order, I didn't fight too hard about it. And since I was prepared to pay up to $1000 ADM/add-ons from the beginning. Figured if I had found a car on the other side of the country. I would have been willing to book tickets, fly out there, add in all the Uber cost, hotels and time wasted to get a car home, would have been $1000 anyways. Just wish he was upfront about it when I first inquired about the car and not sneak it in at the end.

Ended up getting the car for MSRP + $795 dealer add on. Did Ford Options for $2000 off, and then the regional discount on the sticker for an additional $2000 off. All said, for a dealer inventory car, I was happy with the final price.

Congrats! That regional discount (DE, PA, NJ, perhaps other states) was something I didn't find out until well after I ordered my car unfortunately-- it was very hard to find out about since I don't believe Ford had any info about it on their website. Unfortunately it only applied to Premiums and I ordered a Select. On the one hand it might have convinced me to order a Premium and save some money off sticker, but on the other hand, I would still be waiting for my car thanks to the Premium backlog...

Great write-up! You really were able to get some detailed tracking there.
Congrats!

After accepting delivery, dont forget to go update the "Submitted order tracking list and stats". It's a big help to other new orders.

I'll need to check on mine, as it was a dealer stock order. I think the order was in January.

An update! I'm no longer on Ramp 6P. I'm on Ramp 6U! Moving on up the alphabet!

According to Ford Chat, and this is a direct quote:
"The vehicle arrived at Shipped Rail - Railcar # TTGX160664 (Norfolk Southern Corp ) on Ramp 6U, in Muncie, KS on 5/12/2022"

So my questions:
1) This apparently happened 11 days ago but it's updated now. So maybe my car was further along when they were still telling me ramp 6P last week, so maybe it's further along again?
2) If my car is coming up to the Chicago area, why is it in Muncie? I thought that was for westbound trains (again I could be wrong)
3) How the heck do I track that railcar? I found this post and tried to follow directions, but it didn't seem to want to let me track it - "there is no tracing information available". Anyone else have any good ideas?

Anxious for my car!

Interesting... To me, the Fort Chat information appears to be suspect. What tips me off is the mention of both Norfolk Southern and Ramp 6U/Muncie in the same sentence. Ramp 6U/Muncie is only for Union Pacific trains. It doesn't serve Norfolk Southern. I don't think all of that information can be correct, even if some of it is!

That said, Union Pacific does technically serve Chicago (that's as far east as it gets) so it's possible you are going via Union Pacific. There is contact info in the stickied tracking thread that has the details on tracking a railcar through Union Pacific, so you might try tracking the railcar they gave you through them. Unfortunately the alpha part of the railcar (TTGX) doesn't really help clarify things since it is a reporting mark for a company co-owned by all the major railroads (for railcar sharing) so it's not specific to UP or NS. But since you've already tried NS, it's worth calling UP next.

If you still don't get any info through UP and are really desperate to learn more, ask your dealership contact if they can provide you a full copy of your VVR to give you a better sense of where your vehicle is now. That's the same document Ford Chat is reading from though, so there's no guarantee it will clarify things unless Ford Chat really did read it off wrong.

Thanks - I thought that seemed weird! I tried tracking via Union Pacific and it was a no-go as well.

Very mysterious. I'm starting to think my car is lonely, hopping onto random railcars, seeing America...

Brings me such joy to see all these beautiful Mach-E’s finding their new owners! So happy our week has been so lucky! Hang in there everyone - like FrostyICE pointed out you can’t trust the Ford tracking! Fingers crossed for you all still waiting!

Just got my Wallbox charger installed today, and getting my new baby PPF wrapped and ceramic coated on Monday! ?

Man, after the wait we've all had, two weeks without my car would kill me now that it's here!
But you're right, she'll look killer!
