This is interesting and addresses something I was wondering about. At what point does that Norfolk automated tracking line cease to be useful? My car was delivered to the Doremus Ave lot in Newark based on my checking last Sunday but now says “[something garbled] Newark NJ.” Do you recall where in Newark you sat for a while?

My railcar sat in a status of *garbled* Doremus Auto Ramp in Newark for a week. I'd you railcar status is still that, I'd expect it has yet to be unloaded. After exactly a week, my railcar moved to statuses of "actual placement", "unloaded" and "released empty" in quick succession (all in one day). At that point, NS tracking is no longer useful- the railcar will move on to it's next destination without your Mach-E. That's also the point at which your vehicle has moved into a parking lot for delivery to dealer via truck. Mine arrived at the dealer from the FAPS auto terminal in Newark via United Road, four days after it was unloaded from the railcar and 11 days after the railcar arrived in Newark.

My charging is set to stop at 90% at home. Once I started a charge this evening, Ford Pass offers a button to charge to 100%. Nice solution, assuming it works.

Thanks, I just discovered this button too. Hope it works - it's perfect for my needs. I'll probably set to stop at 80-90% as well but use the button when I need the extra distance

Only have put 20 miles on it so far, but what a fun car and totally worth the wait!

Normally set to 90%, I pushed the charge to 100% button on Ford Pass and it rolled right up to 100!

Agree. Mine went from "on hold" at a railyard to at my dealer 100 miles away in 36 hours time. Hope yours shows up soon!

I will say, based on my own incredibly frustrating waiting experience, once the car showed up and I drove it, the frustration melted away. This morning I did a bunch of errands that had been piling up solely because I wanted to drive!

@dark_ma773r I agree with @alangant and @CB1234. Same happened with me. Could not track. And ordertrack still said it was in kc. It was a shock when dealer contacted me.

Got my car Monday night. In the last couple weeks I was super nervous about my cyber orange color choice. I have seen some pictures that aren’t super flattering. Now that I have it in person I am so happy with the look. It is an awesome color. And of course, it is so fun to drive.

So, finally took delivery from Towne Ford in Redwood City last night. We were very skeptical about how the buying experience would be (and how long will we spend haggling). But to our surprise, (almost) everything went very smooth.



Model: Mach E Premium ER RWD

Though they came up with the new sticker price, I brought in original PO (I received through email, unsigned) and Ford price protection doc (available here on this forum). They acknowledged the original price.

Ford Options: My salesman started with $2000 and 3.9% APR but with little back and forth (i literally showed the link to this forum), he came back with $2500 and 2.7% APR.

CA Clean Fuel Rebate: $750

It was a pleasant buying experience as start to finish it took just 2 hours.
Finally about the car, we totally love it!! Such an amazing ride

She is finally home. Fords options 2750 rebate, California tax credit 750. Dealership purchase experience was smooth. Even traded in my car with them for 500 more than Carmax offered me. So I’d say I came out winning. Will be looking even sexier when I file taxes next year.

Car is still not at the dealership as of this morning. I did confirm with Norfolk Southern that rail car TTGX 604536 was "released/empty" and was on its way back west. So, the car is in the Petersburg Vehicle Terminal awaiting on pickup by a road carrier. Hopefully I will hear something this week about what the status is and maybe it will show up to the dealer soon. Still waiting......
