Preface: These updates are being performed by the few of us that have FDRS and are not available via OTA at this time. Your dealer will not update these on the car for free because there is no Customer Satisfaction Program, recall or TSB as of today. I'm sure you could pay them to do the updates, but that's at your discretion. I'm sure they will eventually be OTA.

What's happening:

There's a Gateway Module Update, which hopefully fixes some bugs on Job2 vehicles. I'm going to flash it right now and let you all know. Thanks to @WyldStallyn for pointing out that there's also an OBCC update released on 06/21 in addition to the 06/20 release of the GWM. Thanks to @generaltso for pointing out that the OBCC is also for job1.

Warning: The GWM update requires a USB drive. This update is quite large.

For errors on failed updates see troubleshooting in posts 87 & 88 of this thread.

Ford Mustang Mach-E 06/20/22 - GWM Job2 & OBCC Job1 & 2 Updates 1655865494439

Update: 06/22/22 - GWM is now available to update in FDRS after it was broken for a couple days

OBCC installs just fine and is about a 5 minute install.

What specifically do these updates do: - The GWM update resolved issues that I had regarding missing data being sent to Ford and FordPass. I'm not sure what else it does, but it's a large update.

The OBCC update could have some minor changes to charging. Nothing is confirmed as of 06/22/22. That discussion is on page 5.

If we don't hear back from Todd, or if his next post is from a different vehicle altogether, I'll assume it means his "gateway" never came back online. 😳

Because Ford wants to "F" with me today, I cannot update the module at this time.

Where's @WyldStallyn to let us know about this update?!?
Costa Rica for my day job … I was sure we would start to get some good updates as soon as I left.

EDIT: Plus I knew Todd would be all over this one since the last GWM broke his charging information in FP.

Maybe they are preparing Job2 cars for the HVBJB OTA
This update was months in the planning. We were originally scheduled to get it in May. So I don't think it has anything to do with HVBJB.

There should be another big update for job2 vehicles later this week (maybe?) that I'm sure will make a few people happy, not HVBJB related as well.

Is this only showing for Job 2s? I haven’t even checked FDRS as the title says Job2

Yes it should be job2 only.

Sorry no. I'm referencing a job2 update. I'll edit my post to clarify.

If I could give you my frunk release in FP I would. I don't ever use it. I prefer the manual release because the only time I open it is to hook up to the LVB to update.

Time to wire a 20A outlet in the garage for a power supply and get the stuff needed to do FDRS updates… 🤪🐩

If you have a 14-50 already you can likely get a 14-50 to 6-20 adaptor for less than wiring a 20A outlet. That's what I did since I don't need to charge at the same time as flash updates in FDRS.
