It looks like the 12V battery tray has been built for alternative LVB battery sizes. Maybe it is just a standard Ford part used in other models?

Does anyone have AGM 12V experience with sizes near ours, is there a standard size, just one size up from 35 Ah, about 1.25" longer? See second picture.

UPDATE: See AC Delco 12V MME 50 Ah, Chevy Spark, Cadillac Battery

Check with Sandy Munro. Didn't he invent all the exciting things like battery holders?

That battery is a strange size:

BCI/ DIN H3
Motorcraft® Part Number BHAGM-H3
Cold Cranking AMPS (At 0° F) 380
Reserve Capacity (Minutes) 60
Maximum Dimensions Inches (mm)
Length Width Height
6.9 (175) 6.9 (175) 7.5 (190)
Approx. Weight (Wet) LBS. (KG) 27 (12.1)

With the additional inch and a quarter that would make it:

Length Width Height
8.15 (207) 6.9 (175) 7.5 (190)

The closest I see is a Group 70 (bci-group-new.jpg (2550Ă—3300) (carid.com)), and those that a quick search reveals are side post.
