1HP to 480HP in 80 years

Thought this is kind of cool . Here is a pic of my dad 80yrs ago driving his horse drawn wagon , and today on his 89th birthday behind the wheel of my MME GT.

That IS cool.

My grandmother died at 103 having seen soldiers on horses in western Russia just after the revolution. Years later she saw her first flush toilet on the boat bringing her to America.

Indoor bathrooms, electricity, cars, planes, man on the Moon..... The world has changed in the span of a lifetime.

I have a signed poster in my home office of Bruce McCandless hovering in space in the MMU from a past project. His grandmother came west on a covered wagon and lived long enough to see him launch in the space shuttle. Just imagine what our kids and grandkids will experience....

We had a horse-drawn wagon (2 HP) when I was a kid (40-ish years ago). It was much more reliable than the junker automobiles we could afford. We had to stop using it when highway patrol banned us from the highway, which was our main way into town.
