2.8.3 OTA now B&O Sounds like a record player

So we got 2.8.3 this week. The wife came home and said the Beeps sound funny.

so like normal, I get to actually sit in the car days later… and the radio sounds fuzzy, scratchy, buzzy and similar to an old phonograph.

I have not done a SYNC or console reset. Just curious ifwe are the only ones.

Do a sync reset, it won’t hurt or erase anything

After ‘3’ resets and the DIAG it sounds a little better.

not sure if it’s right but definitely better.

Plug it in to charge or take for a longer drive, maybe the 12v is low, some weird stuff happens when it’s low

So what seemed to be fixed is truly not. The only common thing is the 2.8.3 OTA.

Any SYNC or Instrument Panel tones/beeps sound as if multiple signals are overlaid with one another.

music (XM, AM, FM) all sound like a scratchy phonograph.

bluetooth audio sounds ok.

One last thing is maybe do a 12v reset, just disconnect the negative terminal for a few minutes and see if that resets it.

**Actually....not cool, but unfortunate.

Are you hearing this on a satellite radio station? If so, try switching over to an FM station and then back again. I had this happen to me once and that was the only way I was able to get the system to reset. Force rebooting SYNC didn't do anything in that situation for me....

I have only had this happen to me once......about a week ago I think.

@SnBGC , yeah on Satellite and all other stations or radio modes.. Another SYNC seemed to clear it up for two or three songs and one station change.. but after parking the car to go into the GasStation's Beer CAVE... I came out to the same issue. I may try @Logal727 recommendation this coming weekend.

Are you using an iPhone? This happened to me again this evening. Seems like my wife's iPhone might be causing an undesireable reaction with the car? Not sure. I had her turn off bluetooth and I was able to make the noise go away.

There was an issue a while back where an iPhone in the car would freak out the navigation system but that issue went away after a few months. Not sure if the two are related though....???
