I feel I owe this report to Ford Motor Co. and promised myself to do so at 40K miles. So here it goes...
I am not an amateur driver, but a "seasoned" one with 36 years of driving experience. My first Ford vehicle was a 1988 Mustang LX 5.0, 5 speed with the optional 3.08 rear differential. My last was a late model 7 series BMW with almost every bell and whistle. In between I have driven all other series BMWs including their SUVs, vehicles from Mercedes, Lexus, Infiniti, Honda, Toyota, Mazda, GM and Tesla. So you can say, I have a "reference point" when I compare the Mach E to other vehicles and Ford to other car companies. I also drive quite a bit. I average 20K miles yearly commuting to my office and back. But enough about me, now on to the Mach E.
First of all, I believe that a lot of people take the time to complain on these forums, and not enough people post much praise. Therefore, I want to thank FMC for manufacturing such an amazing, technologically advanced vehicle. I have enjoyed driving every one of the 40K miles on my Mach E GTPE. I enjoy the responsiveness, handling, and smoothness of every one of my drives. The Mach E feels solid and composed. I don't hear any rattles, squeaks or anything else that would disturb the serene atmosphere of its cabin. Things are as "tight" in the cabin as the day I drove it off the dealer's lot. (Excellent quality control Ford!)
I drive almost exclusively in "one pedal" mode. (It's amazing how the human mind can adapt to that form of driving after driving an ICE vehicle for so long.)
The fit and finish of my Mach E is top notch. The materials used in its cabin are superior quality, and have held up well after 40K miles. No sign of excessive wear anywhere. I have not needed to change tires yet because I bought a set of winter rims and tires that I swap out seasonally with the summer Pirellis that came on my car. Hence, I don't need to go in to the dealership for the 10K miles services since they only rotate the tires and fill the windshield washer fluid. All of the over the air updates that I received have installed flawlessly, including Blue Cruise 1.3 (My car is a July '22 built Mach E). I have not dealt with the High Voltage Junction Box recall since I never received the error message. I've had to have my Mach E serviced only twice during my 40K miles of driving. First service was for a blown out rear passenger tire that hit a metal object on the freeway (replaced under warranty with no questions asked). The second was for a "door sensor fault, service required" message. That required replacement of my rear driver door latch mechanism (under warranty). The Mach E was at the dealership for about a week and I was given a brand new Ford Edge as a loaner in the meantime.
Hence, my overall experience with my Ford Mustang Mach E has been phenomenal! As a previous mostly luxury brand driver (lately), I don't feel that I have "downgraded" in any way driving a Ford product. It's too bad that you don't see the Ford logo much on this version of the Mustang (I think it's only on the glass, but nowhere else on the exterior). Ford Motor Company should be very proud of the Mach E. It has converted this ICE driver into an EV driver, maybe for the rest of my driving years. The way things are going, I plan to put many more miles and years on this first generation Mach E. Ford has come a very long way from my first Pony back in 1988. Keep it up Ford, and I'll keep coming back for more!

Good report. I echo your sentiment. I've got 41 years behind the wheel; I began with a 1982 Ford Escort wagon....ugh! Lots of performance cars in the past 35 years. Overall, the MME GT is near the top. Personally, the build quality (body integrity) on my car is the best I have ever had. Feels like the entire car was CNC cut from a block of metal. There are no squeaks or rattles. My previous vehicle, M-B GLC63 AMG, had a lot of squeaky interior plastic but I gave that a pass due to the 4L twin turbo V8....same with the Caddy CTS-V.

I really value the solid feel of the MME and this keeps it near the top of my list for a next vehicle. This model works.

At only 6000 miles on my GTPE, it's kinda comforting to hear that it's entirely plausible that what I'm experiencing isn't just my imagination. 😁

When queried by folks that are surprised to find ME in an EV, I have said to most of them it's one of the most solid vehicles I've ever driven.

Those same folks know the other vehicles I own or have owned in the past. I don't think they expected that comment to be coming from me and the vehicle to be a Ford. :)

Been driving for over 50 years. Only other Ford products I had were a '67 Mustang and a '71 Cougar--both were great cars. Since then, I've had several Jags, BMWs, Mercedes and Land Rover Range Rovers. We've had our '22 Mach-E GTPE for almost 2 years now--sold a BMW X3 M40i and replaced it with the Mach-E--the Mach-E is by far the best car we've ever owned so far. Zero problems. Drives great. Comfortable. Wish it had more range, but it is adequate for well over 90% of our daily driving. We charge only at home. We plan on driving this car at least ten years--maybe more if the battery holds up. We will probably buy a second Mach-E if/when the range improves to over 400 (that might be a while).

Mustang Mach-e 2023 Premium
I have had my 2023 Premium RWD since 1/2023 and I am at about 45000 miles. Easily one of the best cars I have ever owned. I love the steering, responsive throttle, and strong breaks despite the weight of the car. The build is solid. No rattling or creaking. Nothing feels flimsy to me other than the rear storage cover that loves to pop out of its holder now and then. I love the styling better than a Tesla, inside and out. The software updates have gone flawless so far.

I was unfortunately hit with an HVJB issue and had to have it replaced. I didn't have my car for nearly two weeks which sucked but that is better than the much longer wait times to get a Tesla repaired (for anything) which is was one of the reason's I picked the Mach-e over a Tesla. My only other real complaint is the stiff suspension. For the most part it doesn't bother me but at lower speeds over a terrible road it kind of makes some of my passengers feel sick. I wish there was a built in shade for the glass roof. The car feels a little cheap with the sun shade insert I bought off of Amazon. The vinyl on the driver's seat has cracked. I feel it is too soon for it to do that. I'll need to get a cover for my seats someday.

I hope to get the Tesla adapter that I ordered soon. I had issues finding a fast charger on one road trip I took. There should be a manual way to pre-condition the battery as well as an indicator for it. I also wish there was a meter on the dash to show me how much power I am regenerating or using. That is a basic thing that this car is missing.

I had my roof tinted with 3M Crystalline and it works great.

I also got some seat covers from Inch empire on Amazon.

Happy with both products.

My wife really hates the sun so a simple tint won't work and I want to open it up when I want to. I think she is a vampire, haha. I want something that keeps heat out. Does the 3M stuff repell heat?

I was looking at a red version of those seat covers. I hope to get it later. :)

Yes, that’s the major feature of Crystalline is the heat blocking.

I’m at 40 years on the road and I’m very happy after 6 months with my Mach-e. Being an old timer you might get this!: I love the simple fact it has a long hood. Back in the 80s I just hated the short and disappearing hoods of new cars. For decades I only had cars with big motors and long hoods.
