According to that sticker you paid around $56,00. Maine sales tax would have brought it to $59,000. You still get to claim the federal tax incentive of $7500 so your actual ownership cost is $51,500. You’ll come out ahead by $3,500 after putting 6000 miles on it. It’s a damn fine deal.

I purchased my Mach-E in June which was a dealer demo as it was the dealerships first(and only) AWD extended battery Mach-E on their lot.
I now have 6,000 miles on it and am willing to part ways with the vehicle for a minimum of $5,000 over MSRP which amounts to $60,800. Best offer by end of week takes it and can fly to Portland, Maine to take delivery or can have vehicle shipped. The vehicle is in excellent condition. No scratches or dings. Sales tax is a sunk cost and has no value. Maybe it’s worth $43000. It’s a used car without the tax credit.

I missed something. I didn’t know there was a Carmax offer quoted. Personally, after waiting 6 months for the car, and enjoying the car, and worrying about my x-plan, Ford Options financing, mine would not be for sale for any amount, period. I’m too old for the aggravation.

Wow, I respect the confidence. I sure you know this but you are asking to much. If this was a GT then you could probably get $5,000 for a used one with no tax credit.

I think OP's expectation of price isn't totally out of line, I see several Premium RWD's advertised for $55 - $57k. If I were OP, I wouldn't specify price, I would say that I have a standing offer from Carmax that I'm taking on ____ unless someone beats it by enough to make it worth my time.

I would be advertising everywhere I could think of including Craigslist.

You’re probably not wrong. But the only ones I see on Carmax are in California and going for $53-54K. Doesn’t say if they’re AWD ER or not. Just says premium.
This is just a group who’s, understandably, very salty about dealer markups. So private seller markups will be treated the same. Best of luck to you but I’d take the carmax offer.
