Awesome recognition!
I am still getting caught up, but I think they are going entry level price on that, yes? Most EVs don't start at that level, they just get there like instantly what you start optioning them. The Escape starts at under $25K for example ("Oh, you wanted a radio? Brakes? Gas pedal?" ?)Luxury EV defined as MSRP over $40k. Isn't that like 95% of them?
I wasn't thinking about PHEV. If those count in the category, then yes.I am still getting caught up, but I think they are going entry level price on that, yes? I know you're kidding a bit which is why my answer is also kidding a bit. ?
ah I see I admit I completely misread your post - and it was me, not what you said. You meant BEV SUVs specifically which they do as well. That was dumb of me. You're completely right.I wasn't thinking about PHEV. If those count in the category, then yes.
Pure BEV seems rare under 40k though, even base trims.
Exactly what I was expecting and hoping for as well. There is so much focus on specs and absolute #s... but it appears that while they've come close on those items, there are those unquantifiable factors that they've been able to dial in.The common theme for this and most of the reviews is that the Mach-E does nearly everything well. It may not be #1 in range, but it's near the top. May not be #1 in 0-60, but it's near the top. May not be #1 in software, but it's near the top. And so on and so on.
Add it all up though, and it's awfully hard to beat. Which is perfect for most people looking for an all-around use vehicle.
COVID has kinda thrown the timing off this year too. Normally most models come out during Fall of the previous year. The Mach-E was originally timed for a Fall 2020 release too (~Oct).Well, 2021 hasn't started and there will have more new cars arriving.
Loving it!
