I sat in a Bolt the first model year at the Cleveland Auto Show and boy, I could not get past the seats. They were just so uncomfortable for me. (This is very very per-person.)I have always found the build quality of the Bolt to be extremely good, better than your typical econobox and actually better than my Camry in many ways. The material selection for dash and seats are the only things I wish they’d done differently but they chose materials that matched the price point at the time. Even then they thought enough to offer heated rear seats setting it apart. Maybe not luxury, but more than a compliant penalty box. GM took a loss on every one sold, but they definitely changed the conversation as has every EV to date.
and now you've hit upon Hyundai's biggest concern right now with their new luxury brand that's been spun out since 2017.I've never even heard of Genesis.
correctIt’s Hyundai’s new luxury brand.
This is why I rented a Bolt prior to leasing one. I had heard so much about how bad the seats were that I Turo'd one on a vacation to San Francisco (lots of chargers ! bonus; yes if you're keeping score: two stadiums).I sat in a Bolt the first model year at the Cleveland Auto Show and boy, I could not get past the seats. it also doesn't help that I really hate the GM infotainment (have rented plenty of Buicks and Camaros), but I could live with that (I think)... but those seats....
I hear you on the seats. I think they really diminished peoples view of the car. They made them much better in the 2018, but alas we have the 2017 (first model year).I sat in a Bolt the first model year at the Cleveland Auto Show and boy, I could not get past the seats. And for 2017 it came in Orange!! Though I couldn’t get my son to go for it.This is why I rented a Bolt prior to leasing one. I had heard so much about how bad the seats were that I Turo'd one on a vacation to San Francisco (lots of chargers ! bonus; yes if you're keeping score: two stadiums).
I didn't find the seat that uncomfortable at all...
Lets see... no cable porn for this one but I do have a pic of the rental bolt:
Orange was also available in 2018. I told my dealer when he was doing a dealer search for mine that orange was first, the blue in the pic above was 2nd, and red was 3rd...sigh you can see in my profile pic what I ended up with LOL.And for 2017 it came in Orange!! If I had known we would like it so much I could have forced him into Blue and I could get the Orange (that one’s for you IlliniBird - Oskee Wow Wow).
You mean, "SHOCK"!?!?!Orange was also available in 2018. I told my dealer when he was doing a dealer search for mine that orange was first, the blue in the pic above was 2nd, and red was 3rd...sigh you can see in my profile pic what I ended up with LOL.
2019's had "tennis ball green" available.
The GV80 is very nice. More images at this link if interested.and now you've hit upon Hyundai's biggest concern right now with their new luxury brand that's been spun out since 2017.
correct
Hey! I’m pretty sure the one we ordered for the lot is sitting at a stockyard waiting to get delivered to us. I know it has been built. Depends on the transport schedule but it will probably be in the next couple of weeks.So.... when are you getting a Mach-E at the dealership?
I’m sorry I never had notifications on!I just delivered our first one yesterday and actually have a rapid red Select available for purchase. The person that ordered it backed out. AWD SR. It does have the comfort pack so heated steering wheel and front seats. I’ll know more tomorrow when get to work.So.... when are you getting a Mach-E at the dealership?
