Does this look legit?

After seeing a reference to the WSM (work shop manual) in another thread, I did a google. This might be a good read?

2021 MUSTANG MACH-E REPAIR MANUAL
2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E repair manual Premium Edition(pdf), GTIN: In stock $149.99

On further study => hmm, It says contact info in Romania. I wonder if there is a risk of malware? Is this even a legal copy?

Is there any way for a U.S. owner to buy or rent the WSM? Is the WSM what Ford techs use?

Well, judging by the fact that they have " Engine Emission Controls" in the table of contents preview for it, I think that the information on that site is at least probably not correct :)

They probably do collect and sell manuals, though. It's just this might be a placeholder spot for it or something. You can always email them!

I have obtained WSMs for the Super Duty trucks from forums or website downloads. I think those were created by someone who had access to Ford's online system and exported the various sections to pdf and them combined them into a book. The links are broken so that is a clue.

I have also obtained WSMs from online sources on CD and those work a bit better. Those links sometimes work and are quite helpful but sometimes they just give a blank screen so it depends on the seller's product rating I think.

There really isn't a good substitute for the actual Ford subscription service but it's spendy. Those links are super helpful and they have all the diagnostic trees etc. The PC/ED manual is a great companion to the WSMs. Those two, combined with the wiring diagrams is the complete package that we really need to get to the guts of the vehicle.

CD? That's still a thing? The system requirements concern me.

486-based PC or above
8 MB or memory or better
40 MB of free disk space
CD ROM drive (minimum 2x speed)
VGA monitor 1024 x 768 capable is recommended

are you saying you can't meet those requirements? because if so I have a 25 year-old-cutting-edge-for-the-time laptop here that I'd be happy to send you that will work. it's a bit heavy though, about 9,120 pounds, so the shipping might be cost-prohibitive.

I got the CD for my 2006 Fusion and 2015 Fusion Hybrid. They had the same requirements. I doubt Ford has updated the software they use on the CD for 15+ years.

Kinda comical to see what was cutting edge all those years ago. I assume that Ford operates like GM and Nissan where all service information is accessed online. No physical media of any type is sent to the dealers. A big difference from the room full of manuals, which was followed by quarterly, then monthly CD ROMs.

Heh, I go back to the days when an 8" drive with 5MB was a luxury and teletype paper was the main display. I have actually written programs on stacks of cards. Gawd, I'm old. ?

One of my college jobs was writing some routines in FORTRAN for a NASA ocean model. I used to carry around one or two long boxes of punched cards, and once I dropped one. I think we had tape backup by then, but it was bad. (there was a paper card for each line of code). I think we had an IBM 370 and an Amdahl 470.

Hey, I just looked it up. I knew it was a big deal, but apparently we had the first one (FE?)! "The first Amdahl 470V /6 system was installed in the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Institute for Space Studies, replacing an IBM 370/165."

Heh, one of the reasons I always carry a pocket knife is for those boxes of cards. I used to tape 'em up good and tight before taking them anywhere.
