The 2025 is getting a heat pump, which might improve the cold weather performance. If you haven't tried it, you might see if turning on the heated seats so you can lower the cabin temperature. That is something they recommend getting a bit better cold weather performance.

Just wait until you get used to it. Fast is never fast enough. šŸ˜‚
True story bro.

Essential, I chose a Premium over a GT because I figured I'd never need or even want the extra power. While it's true I technically don't need it, it sure would be sweet to have that extra go juice on tap.

Agreed!! No reason I ever need to go faster than my Premium goes; but I'd like to!!!

My 2021 Select just died - the High Voltage Battery Junction Box had a stuck contactor and the car would no longer start. I got the bright idea to try and trade it in rather than wait for the repair to be complete. I really didn't have high hopes.

McGovern Ford of Framingham MA gave me an incredible deal on a new 2024 GTPE. They took my car in trade because it was a warranty service and gave me what I wanted for it. After some back and forth, they gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. The purchase price is almost what I paid for the 2021 select - absolutely incredible change in EV market dynamics and 0% financing.

First impression: Holy Moly, I had no idea what I was missing.

First off, this car looks incredible. I've never gone for red before, but damn if it doesn't look stunning with the black GT accent trim. The 2024 GTPE wheels are magnificent and look amazing with the Brembo calipers. I've got the lighted pony badge now and I'm not ashamed to admit how much I wanted that one little feature. The interior accent lights are such a treat, and the materials and fit and finish are top notch - way better than the Select. The seats are amazingly comfortable, and so far, I have no complaints about the glass roof.

As I pulled out of the dealer I got my first real dose of the power. The car is astonishingly fast. I'm looking forward to the much longer range and faster charging speeds. After about 30 miles of driving I can also say that the Magneride suspension in the 2024 is FAR BETTER than the suspension in my Select, which was my only big gripe about a car that I really loved. The suspension was just awful and constantly sounded like it was just bottoming out. It was literally painful to experience on poor city roads.

I'm looking forward to learning about bluecruise and experimenting with that as well. We'll see how things go - Right now I'm drunk on new-car smell.

I'm somewhat cowed by the HVBJB failure in my old car - it's going to take a while for me to get over that and start really trusting this. I'm hoping this third-generation part has finally gotten the failure rate to nil.

But apart from that, I'm over the moon right now! Wish me luck,

These posts are always interesting to read, considering the look of the car, especially inside, hasn’t really changed much at all, (2025 model brings some minor tweaks, still largely the same design tho). but going from a near base trim to top of the pack is a substantial upgrade I’m sure!

And yes, from what I’ve been reading on these forums, it seems Ford finally figured things out with the latest HVBJB fix, so you should be good! A real treat for sure, now that iirc the 5 sec limiter is expanded or completely gone in the 2024 models.

congrats on the upgrade!

My 24 GTPE arrived two days ago! Upgrading from a ā€˜21 premium extended that I loved. The GT is amazing. Congrats!!

Um, you're not going to get a new GT without me 😜. I expect a call if you do šŸ˜‚.

Interestingly, my sales guy told me that most of his customers are looking for Vapor Blue. He was complaining that he can't find enough of them to sell. Weird to me...I like the Vapor Blue, but it's probably my least favorite of the color offerings.
Ford's discontinuing Vapor Blue Metallic in 2025. Blame me because I like it; as a grudging second choice to Highland Green, which Ford won't produce because that's my favorite.

Ford is also getting rid of Grabber Blue Metallic. I almost got talked into an Eruption Green Metallic car but it had a glass roof (complete deal-breaker for me) and the Bronze package (why would I pay extra for bronze wheels just so the dealer can put them on my old car and sell them with that one?). šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ©

Agree 100%. Just picked up my 2024 GT last week trading in my 2022 Highway 1 Select. Totally different car and with way better suspension. Love it.

Ford 0% financing gives me a slightly smaller payment with other people’s money.
So, my 2022 Premium appears to be severely underwater based on its current value compared to my loan. The online estimates say it's roughly worth $12k less than what I owe! It's like the 2008 housing crisis all over again, writ small.

Is everyone saying I can go to Ford to get a newer model at 0% financing for roughly what I owe on 2022? i.e., Ford will give me a trade in value for what I owe my bank?

Someone from my old town of Framingham. Back then when I attended Framingham State College. I heard that now it is a University.
Need to visit Framingham. I still have a good friend in the area.
Well……enjoy the ā€œNew Rideā€.
Good luck.!!!

I’m not saying that at all…I got what Edmund’s estimated my car to be worth. If I was that far underwater I doubt I would have even attempted this.

What type of discount did you get? What was the trade? KBB, NADA, EDMUNDS? I am looking to get out my 23 GT for a GT with magna ride but the numbers I'm getting are ridiculous. The non magna ride is way too stiff. 30k trade in, less than a year later when I paid 48 after rebates on a car with a 54500 sticker. Painful. Thanks for any insight

I went to Edmunds and got an enormous range of its estimated value. So, maybe things aren't as bad as I thought, although Edmund's estimate still puts me underwater on my loan by $9k.
