Apologies, I'm sure this must have been hashed out somewhere in the forum, but I can't find it.

When Ford announced the increase in usable battery for 2022 models, but didn't update the range for the 2022 GT/GTPE, I recall there was some speculation that the GT always had the increase in usable battery.

1. Has that (the 21 GT had more usable battery from the beginning) been debunked?
2. Has it been confirmed that the 22s have an increase in usable battery?

Curious why Ford didn't update the range, though I know they have been careful not to overpromise.

There was an FRDS update we did on my Job2 2021 GT that allowed for 91 kWh usable. @scoopman has the empirical evidence to show it.

The update does NOT increase the usable battery for 2021. I checked multiple carscanner data before and after the updates and no change. I believe the consensus is that it is not (at least yet) increased for 2021s. What gets better with the updates is the DC charging curve.

I have seen two 2022 window stickers and both had 91kw so that is the official spec for these cars. I doubt that it would be less than 91kw because that would be false specs.

I don't have before data from car scanner but post charge curve update my data showed 90.8 or so energy to empty. Don't have spreadsheet with me but will find the PID which seemed to show the capacity usable so maybe you can compare.

Since mine was updated to the new charging curve I have never seen more than 88 kWh to empty. It is possible there are updates that came after what I did but my data does not show usable capacity increase due to the 80% charging speed increase.

Here's a screenshot from Google sheet I just took showed 90.1kwh to empty post new curve. Idk what the data would be with original curve however ...
