Whoever bought it is going to be really disappointed when they learn about the 5-second rule for that price. I don't think these bidders knew much about the car.

I was also LOLing too hard at them trying and failing to open the frunk...

Yep. Plus sales tax (unless they have a dealers license) and no fed tax credit. But, the market speaks. That is the value of those things apparently. I sold my 74 MG this past Jan at the BJ auction. It was triple black and set a record too. Kinda crazy this year with used car pricing.

This auction is making me look really good for what I paid for our GTPE last week. I sent the YouTube link to my wife with a note that said, "Check this out; I saved us $40K off the price paid by the winning bidder!"

A lot of money at these auctions and the atmosphere along with comp beverages, it's High End clientele and ego a little. Plus the GTPE is amazing!

in case you don’t know that’s the ultra elite golf tournament that Tiger started before the Saudis took over golf

Not Allowed to go unless u live there (Isleworth or Bahamas ) and the booths sold fractional jet memberships, and $20 million houses. I got to go once. 5k a ticket. Mine was comped. Met Tiger and Annika. Annika was great. Goat not so much…

The super rich will pay anything to be very cool. It smells of mindless desperation.

DMG color looks amazing. I even thought for a minute to buy GTPE wheels. But no, to complicated to keep them clean on daily commute car. Front license plate, how they tried to open frunk and price made me laughing . Thanks
