I know the order books just opened for 2023MY Mach-e, but I'm wondering if there is any word on price protection for the 2023s? A quick google search did not uncover anything. BUT:
If one assumes inflation remains in the 7% range over the next 12 months that would mean a 0.617% month over month increase, or a 3.12% over 6 months. Not including destination:
Premium AWD Extended Range would go from $$66,275 to $68,343 ($2,068 increase)
California Route 1 AWD would go from $63,575 to $65,359 ($1,784 increase)
I believe component cost for EV manufacturing have increased faster than CPI, but just wanted to have some numbers to start with. . . and the end/beginning of the year seems like time when manufacturers would announce price hikes. (And a 6 month wait Order-to-Delivery for the Mach-e seems realistic based on the last 12 months of deliveries.)
I know many are upset with the current price hikes / model configuration changes Ford has announced, but, unless there is a change in inflation, I can only see prices going UP. Not stabilizing or going down.
