Hey everyone,

Have a 2023 GTPE w/magnaride and the car has mostly been great. I am currently around 40,000km/25,000 miles on the car.

I have noticed the front end seems to be making a lot of noises, which cannot be normal for a car this new, it reminds me of my old Acura TSX when it needed new control arm bushings and ball joints. One of them is a clunk when turning the steering wheel at low speeds, or stopped, which I have attached a video of.

The other sound is a squeak coming from the front end that occurs only at lower speeds and is more frequent when turning or going over a speed bump/other dip in the road. The car still has fairly low mileage, but it seems like it has gotten worse lately. Tried to get a video of this, but it's a bit harder to do as the car has to be in motion. I did get brand new tires (Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Seasons) about 2 months ago, but I did notice these sounds before that as well, so that doesn't seem to be the culprit.

Edit: I found another thread on here with someone having a similar issue. https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...rmal”-my23-gtpe-front-suspension-noise.42229/

^ Their video is exactly the squeaking sound I get, that I couldn't get a video of.

Going to take it in under warranty soon, but I was curious if anyone else is having similar issues? I'm gonna assume it is some sort of ball joint, tie rod or control arm thats the problem. Maybe even an CV/axle.

I get the clunking, especially in cold weather. I've read it's either the CV joint or the magnaride dampers.

Yeah weirdly enough, it seems really cool or really warm weather changes the frequency of the squeaks.

It's your tires.

When I test drove mine it was fine but the day I picked it up, right at the dealership it made a clunking noise when turning at low speeds.

The tech say it in and we drove around and said to switch to winter tires and come back if the noise was still there.

After swapping to winter tires the following day the noise went away.

The tires that came with the car were the all seasons and pretty bald, it seems like when it's cold and has no grip it skips and generates that noise when turning at low speeds

I have brand new tires on it. Both the stock tires and these, same issue.

Okay, there is some guy in a Facebook group that claims this is an issue with the front struts on only GTs. Have the dealer remove the front strut and look a the top of the strut where it mounts to the chassis. That round plate at the top should be relatively flat. Check to see if the round plate has been deformed, it will appear to be "domed" at the top of the strut. Have the dealer compare the top of the strut assembly with a new part. Let us know the result. Thanks!!!

Same issue here, seems to happen more in cold I think? Non factory all-season tires, don't think it's the tires. Waiting to see if anyone figures this out, will eventually take it in for diagnosis. Makes the car sound like an old jalopy.
