I have a set of 235/55 R19 Michelin X-ice snow tires that I was going to sell on Craig's list, but just realized that they will probably fit my MME Premium. Can anyone verify that the extra .43" contact patch width won't be a problem vis a vis the original 225/55 R19 tires?

The width should be fine, but the circumference will be bigger, so your speedometer will be off a little.

Well, the GT comes with 245’s, so 235’s shouldn’t cause an issue.

I'd say that will be just fine, your circumference will be 1.5% higher, and you'll have 5mm more ground clearance. That is well within the normal 3% tolerance assumed for tire sizes. The width won't be an issue, people are putting much wider tires on these cars without trouble.

it will work, it may cost you a little range. Typically the rule is 3% variance is acceptable. Because it's an EV I personally have been trying to keep it closer when I customized it. Hard to say no though when you own the tires.

And I can verify the 235 width will work I put 245/50/19 on mine

Thx for the replies. Wasn't seriously looking to put on snows, but as tuminatr put it, hard to say no when the tires are just sitting there virtually new.

Do the 245s fit ok on the stock rims? How do they look?

I used aftermarket rims but yes they should fit the factory rims. I had Vredestein Hypertrac tires and the spec in them is they will fit 7-8.5" rims. You can always look on tire rack they post that information under specs. Attached is the specs section from the Conti dws

I have the same situation. Have a set of almost new Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 studded tires sized the same 235/55 R19 mounted to the winter wheels i have been running on my Ford Flex. Unfortunately the wheels have the wrong bolt pattern 5x114 vs the Mach-e's 5x108 but i was hoping ot at least use the tires on new rims with the Mach-e. Interested in if you mounted/ran them and if it was ok for you? TIA

Mounted and ran them last winter from Jan to April (lots of snow in April last year). Ran just fine. Will be mounting them again around Thanksgiving.

Great! Thanks for the tip. Did you just mount them on the stock rims?

I have about the same situation, I have summer tires R19, but also a set of rims with winter tires 225/60 R18 buth with bolt pattern 5x114. Is it not possible to mount them on the Mach-E, can it have no deviation at all?
