I wondered about this too but far too small of a sample size to know if it will be a trend.
And besides, Dallas isn't known for being a hotbed of BEV adoption.

So Emma Bergg posted the photos of Mach-Es on rail cars on Dec 19. Were those photos taken in Cuautitlán or Kansas City? I'm assuming the former, otherwise where are all those cars sitting?

You're talking about this Tweet, right?
We know the one in the upper right is Cuautitlan.

Others show buildings that look very similar to the Cuautitlan plant. I'm guessing these were all Cuautitlan.

There was a. Rt 1 in Dallas that went to the customer that ordered it
A FE in Dallas that was released by the customer and then sold to someone else
And also a Premium in Dallas that was released by the customer and is now dealer stock
Thats probably right - dealer stock is considered sold per Ford as dealer owns it

Other numbers of note:

Mach-E Total 2020 Production: 6717
Mach-E December 2020 Production: 3129
Mach-E Gross Stock Units: 1500
what is a Gross Stock Unit?

Not for the purposes of sales reporting.

It's complicated. Ford books the revenue when they "sell" the car to the dealer, but they report the vehicle "sale" when the dealer delivers it to a retail customer and the paperwork is finished.

Those 1,500 "gross stock units" are dealer inventory that Ford has booked the revenue for and shipped to dealers in December, but not "sold" yet.

@ChasingCoral does the production numbers of December (minus holiday) align with your guesstimate?

They worked from 1-Dec to 24-Dec 7 days a week, 2shifts a day?

I had a more optimistic acceleration than the line was able to produce. I’ve shifted it down a bit and considering providing a new guesstimate but waiting to hear if they’re adding a C shift.

2/3 of deliveries refused??
As near as can be determined about 90% of people are taking delivery. A small sample tremendously skews the trend data either direction though.

A small number of people have 2 orders with the intent of taking just one (e.g. A Machdrop FE and another version). Some dealers haven't canceled the one car they know won't be taken. Other dealers have no clue which car will actually be taken, if not both, because the customer hasn't told them. The largest portion of those who have or will refuse delivery are those people who've changed their minds for any variety of reasons.

Personally, I'd be surprised if the percentage of accepted deliveries drops down very much below 90%.

The super odd thing about that photo is that it shows cars being unloaded.....not loaded.
Does look like Mexico though. Certainly isn't KC.

Maybe the pre-OKTB cars were already loaded in the autoracks and then had to be offloaded to make room for the more important customer cars?
(yes....I said 'more important' with tongue in cheek because my car and other's here have or had vehicles in that pre-OKTB group that presumably where set aside for a while.)
