My pony was NOT totaled, and has made some solid progress in the 2 months since its headlong off road run in with a wall.

Once insurance was fully approved it only took about a week for all but 2 small pieces of trim to come in. The parts were painted and starts reassembly this week! Once reassembled, it will go on a short trip to the dealer next door to get the battery tray swapped out. No official ETA yet, but I do at least see light at the end of the tunnel!

I did stop by to drop off the remaining insurance payment this morning and got to see it before they started assembly. Pics attached.

Hahahahā€¦.that makes two of us!

Iā€™m pretty confident in them. I think the body work will be AOK. Iā€™ll be happily surprised if all the sensors are working on their first go. Something big is unhooked because ford pass shows a powertrain fault along with all the seatbelt warnings, none of which were on after the crash.

I just got back my FE after $17k worth of front end damage. The bumper, quarter panels, sensors, radars, ac condenser, headlights, camera and wiring harness were all replaced. Hood was repaired. Took the body shop two months to complete, mainly due to getting all the parts. After repair they had trouble calibrating all the new sensors and brought it to the local Ford dealer. It took Ford a month to finally get all the software updated and the sensors calibrated.

The photo doesnā€™t look that bad, but the reality was that most of the bumper was about 40 feet from the car after the accident. Numerous parts were never found (like the front camera). The wiring harness for the parking sensors was shredded. I through everything I could find in the back and zipped tied it back together the next day.

The good news is you canā€™t even tell anything happened. They did a great job putting it back together. The software is now updated to the latest and BlueCruise works for the first time.

Donā€™t sweat it. They will put it all back together like it was new. I canā€™t wait to see it.

Interesting, you can recalibrate it all w/ FDRS in an hour....

Wow, your damage looks very similar to mine. Glad to hear yours went back together! Iā€™m sure mine will too. Itā€™s been 2 months, but honestly, itā€™s been mostly dealing with insurance. Theyā€™ve really been moving now that the parts are in.

Ya know $17K for @MurphyDog and over $30K for @Aquar33f might sound outrageous but I doubt you can find a BEV equivalent to the MME for that kind of money.

@MurphyDog that repair job is just short of miraculous. It does not sound like the MME would score very well with iFixit šŸ¤£

Edit: Would not score well.

Don't stress it. I just got a video yesterday of mine put back together minus the windshield and everything looks great, like nothing ever happened.

Glad things are moving along with the work. šŸ‘šŸ¼

Looking at your pictures, I was wondering if your car was a Job 1.

Wow! Good luck on the repair. Make sure you inspect it well when its time to pick it back up. Don't fall for the, "We just washed it for you, but we didn't have time to dry it!" Trick.
