It was never advertised as coming with 4.1.2.
There is currently no known OTA that will enable it.

I had hopes it's one of those things that shouldn't be so complicated

Wait, how can FDRS be used to enable frunk release? I just used FDRS to get onto 4.1.2, but I have no frunk button on the big screen, or FordPass.

If you've updated all the modules, run this from the All tab.

This will not enable it in fordpass. I don't think there is any way we can do that yet. But you should have the center screen button, and you can open it from the number pad on the door.

I’ve decided not to let drunks in so don’t need that specific release. They tend to vomit more with the acceleration.

there’s gotta be a BCM update sent OTA before they can enable it, maybe the next inhibit update? I don’t see why it’s been delayed so much, but I do believe it’s probably still gonna come, I don’t know why they would keep saying soon, they just need to stop giving dates haha

There is no such impediment since a lot of us have enabled it ourselves with FDRS.

Yup, the update is there - Ford just refuses to push it OTA. And Ford likewise refuses to enable it in FordPass, which we cannot do even with FDRS. But the latch can definitely be operated with software.
