Great video (and production value!)!It rained a lot this weekend. So I made a video.
The schedule only applies to inhibit updates.I received the update today, but the car got too excited and applied it completely outside the schedule while I was having dinner with a friend. I came back aroun 8pm and the UI was completely updated. No warning on FP or on the sync4a screen. I have the update schedule set to 2AM.
Funny thing is that as I was driving to meet my friend, the mirrors didn’t unfold after I was moving (had to manually press the button on the door), the backup camera was completely distorted, and the Bluetooth audio (Spotify) through android auto wouldn’t turn off (I was trying to listen to NPR on the radio to no avail).
But... it's updated now. 3.6.2, 4.1.1, and 4.1.2 all in like 8 days.
Congrats on the update. I'm still on 3.5.4.I received the update today, but the car got too excited and applied it completely outside the schedule while I was having dinner with a friend. In the survey they ask about the “App Drawer” and I’m thinking what is the “App Drawer” and why are we now using that term. They also now have named something the Information Ribbon.I got a survey today for early access, related to update 4.1.2. Why are they sending this survey to an update that I have not gotten yet. 3.6.2 was my last update.
The new ui needed to be accompanied by a link to a website pointing out new features and changes including where various things were moved to such as the trunk button, frunk button (for non job 1 cars), where the charger settings went to, and similar such things. That would be a good place to introduce new terminology as well.In the survey they ask about the “App Drawer” and I’m thinking what is the “App Drawer” and why are we now using that term. I love how developers come up with names but sometimes forget to tell the users.
My wife and I have been having this issue for about the last month and a half (Mach-e and Lightning / Pixel 5 and Pixel 7 Pro). We are pretty sure it happened after an android auto update and that the problem lies there vs. an issue with Sync since it started happening at the same time us and neither vehicle had a sync update at that time.I will say, as I think has happened whenever Synch or Android Auto updates at first, that Android Auto has now become very unreliable - can't use it all for phone calls, I've been disconnecting and switching to bluetooth
Seems to be happening with bluetooth connection as well but that may be AA trying to reconnect after I switch to BT.My wife and I have been having this issue for about the last month and a half (Mach-e and Lightning / Pixel 5 and Pixel 7 Pro). Everything else seems to be OK, but the phone issue is a pain. It seems to take about 3 tries for any call to go through without disconnecting.
We have also found it to be more of an issue when you are first getting into the car and starting off. If you have been driving awhile the phone is more reliable through AA.
