I am getting the PPF on the front-facing areas, tinting on the windows, and a hitch for a bike rack (no towing). What accessories are y'all thinking about getting? Wondering if the paint protection package is a must. I definitely need a rack for my Thule...
ok, so this is new territory for me. Too many options.I am getting the PPF on the front-facing areas, tinting on the windows, and a hitch for a bike rack (no towing).
Thinking this meets the definition of "hijacking a thread."What accessories are y'all thinking about getting? Wondering if the paint protection package is a must. I definitely need a rack for my Thule...
Yes! You might have modules. Mine hasn't even gotten an in-production date yet.I just noticed that the Ford tracker shows an in-production date of "5/20/22." Does that mean my car started rolling down the assembly line on that day?
I depends on where road debris will strike your car. Look at the profile. I have seen the three options at Ford. I am guessing somewhere in the middle. The biggest concern is the front area where there is paint instead of a grill. If rocks on the highway are common, that area is going to get hit a lot and the angle of the strike will make the hit harder. With that in mind, there are areas of the hood that I don't think need to be protected.ok, so this is new territory for me. Too many options.
Wait...do you mean you can log into the Ford Pass app and add your VIN? Or do you mean activate after you've added the VIN?I can activate my car via the ford pass APP so it would seem the build has been completed. I do show modules. Premium SR FWD - Color IBSM
Edit: Ordered 11/22/2021
I have had my VIN and car in the app for quite sometime. Today a button appeared that said "Activate Vehicle."Wait...do you mean you can log into the Ford Pass app and add your VIN? Or do you mean activate after you've added the VIN?
I can do the former, I cannot do the later.
I had no idea. I downloaded the Ford Pass app today and I saw the activate button.I have had my VIN and car in the app for quite sometime. Today a button appeared that said "Activate Vehicle."
While that feature itself has been deactivated - meaning it says the feature is unavailable until you've taken delivery of the vehicle" I read here that once you get that activate vehicle que in Fordpass, it would mean your car is done being built.
I show a "Fordpass connect" feature above the button that did not exist previously.
I read it here; I'd have to search. It makes sense though. People used to be able to follow their cars journey from Mexico up.I had no idea. I downloaded the Ford Pass app today and I saw the activate button.
Do you have a source that states what you're claiming?
Thanks!I have a 21 space white and I did a basic ceramic coating. This time I’ll do the PPF on the front grill and around the headlights. The paint chips are crazy in just 3 months!
I also got the center console storage tray which is a must for me! I have the factory rubber mats and will add the rubber mats for the back of the rear seats.
I’m in the same boat. Mine was built Friday too and I can see the activate button just like you described.I read it here; I'd have to search. It makes sense though. People used to be able to follow their cars journey from Mexico up.
I had never seen that button until this morning and I've checked; also saw all my modules update on Friday so it's all coming together. Seems my car is up and running and awaiting shipping and I'd expect the tracker to update shortly.
