So my Mach-E is on a Norfolk Southern train (TTGX). Does anybody know if Norfolk Southern takes my car to Kansas City? or does Norfolk Southern takes the car to Laredo and then the car goes on Kansas City Southern (KCS) train to Kansas City? Final destination is Northern California.

We received a call last Friday that our MME arrived at Crossroads Ford Apex (arrived three weeks early). We picked it up on Saturday as they indicated the VIN cleared the recall. Only 4 of their 30 recently received bunch were good on the recall.

KCS to Kansas City and perhaps beyond.

I just got word from my sales guy that my car is in the same county as me now and is due for delivery this week!

The bad news though is that despite my 5/25 build date, my car is under recall according to his systems. So hopefully Ford can deliver on the patch in July as their FAQ promised.

I wonder how much cheaper insuring this car would be if Ford hadn't called it a "Mustang"

When I was with Geico, coverage on MME would have been $5/ month more than my 6 years old Prius. Not sure how State Farm will price it.

Same situation as you.

I was told (even though the FAQ says you can purchase the Mach-E) that I can not complete the sale process. I can pre-trade in my Model Y for a credit (saves me sales tax) if I wanted to - but the sale can not be finalized until the recall is completed.

Since I barely drive my Y these days, I may do this. Lol.

Our dealer (Mullinax) didn’t require/accept deposits for any orders as they knew if we ordered and then backed out, they’d have no problem selling. They’re very highly rated and always a top dealer in the area so I’m not worried about any funny business. They have all of our cars marked as sold with our names on a window tag in each one.

I’m glad to know they didn’t require a deposit for anyone. That makes me feel better.

When I asked about the hold, we were told that they are classified as a Ford superstore and were able to get an exception with the strict stipulation that the vehicle can't be delivered. I suspect different states have different rules. Not sure if that was a smart move since it removes some of the motivation to get my car done.

Did you happen to order pre-December price hike? Curious if they will honor that price for me or not. Going over there today to see the car and planning on asking...

Curious about your motivation to do it.

My wife was leaving for a trip and wouldn't be back for several weeks to sign papers. Hoping to get the car as soon as possible. We have had a good experience with the dealership and they have always followed thru.

With State Farm, a 2022 MME is $4/month cheaper than a 2016 Prius. Go figure.
