5/30 Build Week Gang

Read article again, https://fordauthority.com/2022/04/2022-ford-transit-mach-e-production-paused-over-parts-shortages/ and Ford only shutdown Mach-E production a few days due to a material shortage. I checked and my build date was updated to 6/2.

Ahhh gotcha. Hadn’t seen the article anywhere, thanks for the link. Just checked and still holding pat for 5/30, but a delay wouldn’t surprise me

10/4/22 Order Space White AWD Extended Range. Does 5/30 indicate the build Start Date or Build Completion Date? (I assume Start)

I read the build date is the final assembly date, so it should be ready to ship the next day. Also read the final assembly takes about 11 to 18 hours.

MY 5/30 was bumped to 6/13 now it is 6/20.

Was originally scheduled for 5/16, pushed back to 5/23, now pushed back to 5/30. Let's hope that's enough slippage.

I do hesitate saying much about my order date of 12/19/21, initial build date the week of 5/16, having it slip to 5/23, and then *again* yesterday to 5/30. Mainly since I don’t want to be like this kid:

My dealer rep told me just now that, based on the other MMEs they’ve ordered and the lead time to dealer arrival, I should expect the car to be there by the first week of July (except for the 4th of July weekend getting in the way). Also that “you’re not alone” in being highly frustrated by the uncertainty, delays, and lack of Ford ongoing communication.

So it appears that we in this 5/30 build week may get ours relatively soon and, hopefully, before 2023 ordering begins. Sniff.

Bumped down to 6/6

Was bumped to 6/6 last week, but this week I got a build date of 5/31. Things must be improving at the factory.

Trying to wrap my head around these discrepancies. Sequence of events:

- On 4/22, the dealer emails me telling the good news: car has been scheduled for production for the week of 5/30 and provides the VIN. 2 days later I could add the VIN to Fordpass. No emails from Ford.
- https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking showing that car will be placed on next available production spot (which means it's not scheduled yet, right?!)
- This past Friday (5/13), I finally received an email from Ford confirming production date for 6/6 (bumped down a week), and same VIN dealer has informed me before.

- Today the status on the tracker is still the same (not scheduled):

It's probably a case of right hand doesn't talk to left hand, but I'd like to double check to make sure I'm falling on a crack of the system. Any suggestions or thoughts?
