It seems odd that the Tesla chargers aren't shown on Ford Navigation, since they are shown on the Ford Pass app.

Given that they are, why use the Tesla app? Isn't it better to see both the Tesla & CCS chargers?
Ford Navigation will eventually include Tesla stations, but in the meantime, the Charge Assist / Public Charging app does work in locating Tesla SC locations but will not work while in motion.
Have to pull over and park to use the app.

While in motion, I use the Tesla app to show me where SuperChargers are compatible with my EV (non Tesla) as some locations we can't use.

I tried Google Maps and they will list ALL the SC locations but some are not compatible with Ford as they are older V2 chargers.

I wonder as more EVs adopt NACS will Tesla drivers get grumpy since their beloved chargers will be crowded.

Other chargers better take notice as they will begin to see revenue drain away.

My experience so far is many Tesla sites have a station set up for a Tesla with a trailer. See the photo for an example. Works great for Mach-Es! It is one way to only take up one charger.

Even if there aren't any trailer stations, there are typically so many charging stations, and so few cars, that it is not a problem at all (see the last photo of post #1) I have not had a single Tesla owner approach me with a complaint. And I drove down the east coast from Massachusetts to Alabama over Easter weekend!

Not right now. Down the future when more EVs brands adopt NACS. But it's all good. Tesla real revenue is never the cars but carbon credits, data, superchargers....and real estate.

Yes, I can see EVGo, EA, ChargePoint, Shell ReCharge all losing business because a lot of EV manufacturers are going to use Tesla for fast charging.

At this point, I am happy just going to Tesla to charge not only for the lower price point, many located closer to me and the fact that there are no lines.

@Bonehead - I am in-process on a 4660 mile trip. I have an A2Z adapter as I knew
Tesla charging would make the trip easier. I paid for a $12.99 Tesla membership as it reduces the cost per kWh to what a Tesla owner pays. I thought I would switch off the trip between EA and Tesla, but trust me, once you go Tesla charging, you will never go back.

Very good, thank you. I'm about to embark on a 3000+ mile trip, but rarely use public charging at home. Do you think it's worth the $12.99?

3000 miles is about 1000 kWh at 3.0 kWh/mile (which is the efficency we are getting this trip), assuming no free charging at hotels. You save at least $0.10 per kWh with the membership, therefore, for your trip, you would save $0.10 per kWH * 1000 kWh =$100, if you paid $12.99 for one month of membership, cancelling it at the end of your trip.

If you use the Tesla Supercharging network to pull power of at least 130kWh for the month, then paying $12.99 for a subscription would be "worth it". 130 kWH is 2 or 3 charging stops, say 400 miles of driving

I like your math!

On our road trip, I can see the $0.10 membership savings because the chargers were fixed pricing all day; but where I am at home/work in So Calif, the rates are much higher that dynamically changes due to demand and time of day.

Compared my non member rate to a Tesla driver here in So Calif and I am about $0.15-$0.20 higher than a Tesla driver.

I think I will subscribe to Tesla's membership as I too am hooked on Tesla charging and won't go back to EA/EVGo/Shell/CP.....

The picture shows he is blocking 2 spots.
Yeah, that isn’t my point though. The rest of the 88 spots are empty with no line in sight. He’s not being an inconvenience to anybody. I want to see how people react when Mach E’s make it inconvenient to a line of Teslas

While the Tesla chargers are not in Nav they are in Charge Assist. I just used it a couple of days ago in anticipation of getting my A2Z this week.

Yes, I tried Charge Assist but it won't work while in motion.

You have to pull over and use the app.

While in motion, it's better to use Tesla app showing "non Tesla EV" chargers - it's very accurate.

Hoping soon Ford will integrate the Tesla chargers into the navigation....

I use Apple Maps (CarPlay) to show Tesla SuperChargers, while I'm driving. As you can see, my closest SuperChargers are 33 minutes away and they are V3 chargers that I can charge at. In fact every one of those listed there are V3 charging stations. I only have Teslas's SuperChargers, Electrify America and EVgo selected as favorites for Charging Networks in Maps.
