Does Ford plan on selling them at some point or only available to folks who bought direct from Ford brand new?

Is anyone planning on selling theirs if they have an extra or don't plan on using it?

I am tempted to order the A2Z third party one using the 15% off "FORD" discount code if Ford doesn't plan to sell one anytime soon.

Summer is when I was hoping to get the adapter by for road trips that I have planned.

Is anyone in the same situation and need an adapter by summer?

I will have an extra adapter to sell (Lectron Vortex) as I already have the A2Z and will get the Ford later this summer.

A2Z is a great adapter and works well so far at all Tesla SC I have tried.
Keeping the A2Z plus Ford because the charge port does not lock while unattended and can get stolen.

I needed the adapter right now for road trips planned for the next 3 months.

Well worth the price.

Where did you see that? I'd find that surprising since the free ones are showing all the way out thru September deliveries.

I read this when they first rolled out the complimentary adapter reservations/orders.

Even though the free units are scheduled way past 7/1/24, Ford said they will no longer take any more reservations / orders for the free unit after 7/1/24.

That's when they will charge $230 for the adapters.

I think what that probably means is you can only order it for free before 7/1, regardless of delivery time. In other words, if ordering in July, it's probably still a September or later delivery.

I assume the OP was wondering about getting it sooner even if paying for one.

Nice writeup! I can see why the Tesla drivers are so worried about others using their SC network...those stations are so busy!!!

I am stoked that our MME can use Tesla's SC. And even better that the car doesn't have much problem accessing the device. However I realised as other brands get onboard, not all EV charge ports will work easily.
As these are unattended facilities, I can imagine ugliness to ensue. What about the big EV trucks?

I can imagine future Tesla SC scene akin to something like this on long weekends. Sidewalks, grassy area, occupying partial street whatever it takes to get them juice right?

For someone who has waited for EA stations in Baker, I found a little known area just 1/2 mile north at EVGo with 6 DCFC stations.

It's where the tallest thermometer is located.

There is a small tourist store connected to it with snacks, beverages and souvenirs.
They even have a camera pointed at the chargers to let you see while you visit.

I just passed through there last week and that EVGo station was a disaster. 1 charge station worked out of the 6 and it was topping out at 43 kwh. Luckily the EA station down the street was open and got a much better charge and it was covered which was nice as it was blowing a rain-snow mix.

It took be about 3 weeks to get my adapter from the order date. I ordered on March 10 and it was delivered on April 2.
