Had the 50k service completed today and a new set of OEM tires put on. They also did a 4 wheel alignment. Local dealer did a fine job, no complaints. Even gave me a 10% discount because it took a little long for the tech to complete the rear portion of the alignment. Most likely their first attempt on a Mach E. I think I was in the waiting room for about 3hrs or so.........I chose to wait rather than dropping off and coming back later, that's just my preference.

They also replaced the battery on the FOB, I don't use it but when I handed it to the service writer he noted there was a message on the dash indicating it was low. Also order the second FOB per the CSB that's out. I'll get a call when that a comes in so I can get it programmed for the car.

$1354.91 out the door after the discount. I don't have the receipt in front of me to break it down but I do remember the alignment was $119, battery for fob was free, service was $20 last time I had it done, tires make up the rest minus the discount he offered, I did not ask for or complain about the wait at all.

Yep, first set of tires. Actual mileage was 48091. R rear started losing air and I was constantly filling it and could not find a leak. I think I could have gone another 10k if not for that slow leak annoyance.

I got 49,650 out of mine. Same story though. Had a slow leak from one tire and a trip to San Diego coming up so I replaced them all just to be safe. Had 5/32" of tread left when they came off. Honorary Chauffeur's License for me? :)

Yep, pretty much. My spirited driving days are behind me. I've had plenty of high hp cars and motorcycles. Just like to cruise now

That is some pretty awesome mileage. I am at 18K now and almost at the wear bars on the factory Michelin Primacy tires on my premium 4X. But then I am also now on my fourth HVBJB now. I somehow feel there is a huge correlation :) . I already have a new set of the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 ready to install. They are the same model that came on my C8 Corvette and I have been really happy with them. They will probably cut into the range a little bit, but should perform a little better that the Primacy tire that came with the MME.

For some comparison, Town Fair Tire charges $80-90 for an "alignment". However, my mechanic says they don't do it properly there and I wouldn't trust them with a Mach-E. So I think the dealer price is quite fair.

I've only had a rotation done so far (at the dealership). That was $19.95 and covered by Ford Pass points I had from buying the car.

I'm aware dealers typically charge more for service but I just don't trust independent mechanics with BEVs yet. I trust my dealer not to screw up or at least cover it if they do. I can easily see a small, independent shop claiming any damage done was not their fault.

Might be time to start actually checking certifications before letting anyone else work on our MME's 😏.

Glad you had a good experience. Ford (dealerships) need this to keep happening if they want to survive.

Nice that you were able to get this taken care of quickly - even given the slight delay for the alignment. Great to have a new set of tires. Enjoy the ride.

Am I the only crazy who bought a maintenance plan? - paid $2070 for a 100K plan. I tend to worry that prices will only go up during the 100K time period vs I over paid. Obviously things like tires are not covered but other maintenance items are. Maybe I got lucky with recent inflation? Anybody else buy a plan?
