How are your tires doing at 35K miles? I had my dealer do the first rotation at 6500.
I will post tread measurements this weekend. I think there is a chance I might get 50k out of this first set. Going with summer tires next. Same size (for best efficiency)

Does anyone actually go by time instead of mileage?
I do. I don't put 10,000 miles on in a year (usually between 8,000 - 9,000) and the book says one or the other whichever comes first.

Did anyone who has rotated tires found an increase in road noise.....when I had my c max energi , I rotated the tires and found a real increase in road noise......kind of ruined the quiet of an electric car (plug-in)

As stated, the manual gives both mileage and time periods. Follow it.

Ford Pass started notifying me of my 10k service due, at 8k.

by the way, it has been maybe 25 years since I maybe owned a car that didn't include regular service intervals as complimentary. Is Ford really that cheap? Geeze. And on a $60k+ car? wow.. Might be my last Ford then. That really stinks.

No change. Sound was the same.

I’ve never owned a car that included complimentary routine service. Not Ford nor any other manufacturer. That includes cars far more expensive than the Mach-e.

Me either, although several times the first oil change was included for free by the dealer, to get you used to going there. I still have one pending from my 2018 Fusion Energi that I never used.

I got pre-paid service on my 2010 Subaru Outback, they ended up giving me a lot more oil changes than the plan provided. I got oil changes at no extra cost for the 8 years I owned it.

I got this from my dealer just a bit ago. I'm a few days short of 6 months with the GT. And at 5200 miles.

I guess it's at least some progress that it doesn't say it is time for my first oil change.

It’s a blind automated email sent out by your local dealer because they have not seen you car in the last 6 months. Since EVs are such a small pool of the cars they see for service they don’t bother to write a program to filter out EVs from the emails.

You are correct. The service is every year or 10K. It is basically the inspections, rotate tires, cabin filter and brake fluid flushes every 2 or 3 years.

Ford does not cover the service cost, but since the first service is really just an inspection and tire rotate, I could see your local dealer offering to do that for free to introduce you to the service department with little cost to them to do so.
I think you're right. I'm surprised, as Galpin is my dealer, and they are the #1 Ford dealer by volume in the world. I just got off the phone with a service advisor and he acknowledged that the first service is 1 year/10,000 miles.
