How did you receive the notification? Was it in MO this morning? That was the last time I checked and they gave me a Nov 1 estimate (they are ususally wrong).

My sales associate texted me this morning showing it had left in their system and gave me the railcar number. I used Union Pacific's trace tool and I believe it said it left on October 2.

A lot of people in various stages of status (built and received over a year, no build date, future production date, etc) received this email today.

I don't think they had very good reasoning behind who received this email.

Not holding my breath. Had local Ford run a check and they claim still in MO as of Oct 3. The delivery process is a sh** show for sure. A full year will have gone by before I get the car (estimated 28 weeks)....hmm.

I am not too sure about Ford's emailing system. Originally the MME was supposed to arrive 9/21-9/28. Got this email yesterday. Maybe this week?!?

I emailed my dealer, telling him I tracked the rail car to just 45 miles away in Denver. He said -

"ok, we will check on status of stuff on Thursdays. I'll see what the system says then"​

Add this to the list of why older dealerships are doomed. I've waited over a year, and there is no urgency to serve the customer.

@Schmetsky I got a similar email yesterday (updated dates from last week to Oct 2-8). Then I got a call from my dealer this morning saying that the car was ready to pick up. Clearly Ford just does not update the estimated dates until they are already missed, and there is some lag in the process.

I get the feeling that I reach out to the General Manager in Concord and he does not respond, but does ask Ford to respond. So they send me an email that does not really reflect reality. My daughter has her fingers crossed that the MME is coming soon... She gets to go out and have the GolfR detailed!!

Got a ford email telling me to "complete my purchase" and scheduled it for Saturday and I thought - huh... thats odd. My car is not on the dealers website, the ford website, and the dealer has not contacted me. I drove to the dealership and there she is!

I kind of wonder if the dealer is not communicating me because:

• they are bad at communicating / their jobs
• they hope I don't pick it up and want to sell it with ADM.

I also saw something like 4 new MachEs on the lot, and they had two lightening. Perhaps the market is getting back to normal too?

I sure hope this car is fantastic, because the buying experience is about as bad as anything I could imagine.
