Yeah, this is my sentiment. Its new and we already saw the HVBJB issue happen. That and this car is a decent investment, so I am leaning towards some peace of mind.
Exactely, that was us too. The model is new and still not sure what issues would come, when you already getting a loan doesn't add that much more...

For those looking at extended warranty, consider getting Ford ESP through one of the online sellers such as Zeigler, Flood, lombard and Granger. Your dealer will most likely add a very significant markup if bought when taking delivery. I believe you can buy at any time while the original 3 yr/36k factory warranty is still valid.

this is my plan. I didnt take one at delivery and If i still have this car at 2 years from now ill look to purchase the extended warranty online. Other dealers are significantly cheaper than buying upfront from your selling dealer.

Good news from the West Coast ! My car has arrived at the Richmond, CA railyard as of 10/20. Expected ETA to the dealership is 10/28. Original ETA was 10/17 to 10/23, so it wasn't that far off.

With that said, since everyone is expecting their cars soon or has already gotten them -

Did anyone ...

A. Get an extended warranty through Ford? And if so, how much?
B. Is anyone planning on doing PPF/Ceramic Coating?
I'm getting full PPF and ceramic . Was supposed to have done this week but had to push to next week.

My GTPE is black and the dealer did a sh*tty job cleaning it. Already has small swirls in the paint and hard water spots all over. They agreed to have their detailer buff the entire vehicle to remove all swirls and spots. As soon as its done, I'll get the PPF and ceramic on to keep it shiny and new!

Much appreciated. I think this is the route I will take. I will likely wait a year or two before buying one. I'd rather spend cash on getting PPF/Ceramic coating for now to keep my new investment nice and shiny

Also...just got my "Complete your purchase" email!!

Nice. Any special PPF plans or just going straight clear?

I'm going with Xpel Ultimate Plus - Clear on the entire car then topping with Xpel Fusion Plus ceramic coating.

There's a 10 year warranty on the PPF, 4 years on the ceramic. I really wanted to go wrap on this one but my wife seems to pick up quite a few rock chips on her commute so better to have the protection. We both love the satin/stealth look but with all of the body contours and seams, I fear there will be some shiny seams in the front grill area, fender wells, doors etc. I know we could have parts removed for full coverage but don't think it's worth the labor cost.

What do you have planned? Doing PPF or Ceramic? BOTH!?!?

Found out mine has arrived at the port in Portland, OR. Just waiting on a truck to deliver to the dealer. Estimated date from Ford was 10/19-10/25, so it's on track. Dealer did say, however, that they've been seeing deliveries take anywhere from 1 to 10 days from the port due to staffing issues.

How did you find that out? Just through Ford chat? I'm waiting for a delivery to Portland, but I'm not even sure if it's left KS yet.

My ETA for Denver slipped from 10/16-10/22 to 11/28-12/4 so I was sure it was still stuck in KC. However, I checked with Ford chat today and found out that it was received at Ramp 7W, Bn Big Lift Rmp, CO on October 22nd so hopefully it will be at the dealership soon...

I’m still in logistics hell Missouri ramp 6. Literally an old airport ramp. I used Ford chat earlier today and was given a Kansas City Southern rail car number. Called KCS and as I was talking to the agent I remembered others here mentioned KCS was the line utilized between Lecheria Mexico (factory) and Kansas City, Missouri Ramp 6 purgatory. Called Ford Marketing. Yup, the aforementioned rail car was the ride FROM Mexico, not to the dealer area. Mach E is still in limbo.

I got a Granger quote. GT PE. $100 deductible. 96 months 100k miles. Premium care plus interior and exterior lights, key service. Less than $1100.

Triple care (tires/dents/windshield) $495

if you have your VIN your insurance company will even give you their quote.

Ford chat last week told me still on Ramp 6M but gave a rail car number as well. There's a thread on BNSF rail tracking and a kind member that can track. Last Thursday, it was in North Dakota. I used Ford chat again today, they just told me Ramp 6M without a rail car number. Not all that useful. Contacted my dealer (Gresham Ford), and they got back to me that it's in Port in Portland (this matches up with the rail tracking from last week).

I'm picking mine up this Wednesday. Just arrived at the dealer! Confirmed price protection, ford option for $2500 and they're checking whether I can still do X-Plan as I didn't order it with the PIN.

Getting super excited!

I also thought I was not going to get the extended warranty and then I did.
For me it was 8 years / 100000 miles. They said usually was 8000$, got for 5000. Not sure if it is a good price or not. ?
It includes a lot of things but not things due to usage (like tires, etc). It does cover all the electronics though. They give me some info, at home I can try to do a picture. Mine it is through ford
I didn't know about the coating and they didn't offer.
I've never gotten an extended warranty, but am reading through the Granger thread. The 8 year/100,000 from them (Ford) is around $1350 - so my question is besides the extra 2 years mentioned by @flossboss on the Zurich warranty, is there something that the higher priced options are covering that Ford is not? Better customer service experience?
