mine rail # AOK 501779 , called KCS, very nice lady explained every details for me. this particular rail car was back to Mexcio yesterday Lecheria Cuap, EM station to load up ford cars. it will take 7 days from this station to Kansas city. And there is another destination in Texas for them to off load the cars , and this location take total 6 days from Mexico. and the boarder crossing point is Laredo , TX. I do not know how much delay in status update from Ford, my guess is my car is being loaded up today (as my ETA is early Nov). there are three trains travel between US and Mexico each day to move those cars. hopefully those information are useful to you guys

So asked my dealer if they would install all the updates prior to handing over the car, and he said no that the following checklist / service record is the only thing they do prior to selling the car. Updates would be OTA, and that typically it is 1-2 days after the car arrives at their dealership to calling the customer. depends on the number of cars in the shipment.

I know they're going to install the front license plate holder even though I already asked them please not to install it (my state doesn't require it) ?

MA - front Lic. is required, I also ordered the floor mats, so i'm assuming those are the loose ship items. Everything else better be bolted on firmly ;-)

Mine too. It doesn’t seem like there are many of us who have 9/26 dates. Several got moved up to 9/12 and others are now being pushed back to October.

Ours was built last week too. ETA is end of Oct which I take with a grain of salt ;-)

And dealers around here won't install the front license plate holder if you ask them not to and it is illegal here in CA to not have a front plate.

That’s super annoying. I live in California where front plates are required, but front license plate wraps are now legal - and we plan to get one. I emailed my dealer to ask them not to install the front license plate holder, and they replied that they never install the front license plate holder unless a customer specifically requests it. We’ll see if that is actually the case when we go to pick it up.

Remind them of this when they let you know the car's arrived. And yes, the licenseplatewrap.com is cool. We've got it on our Tesla and will get it on our ME.

So my obsessiveness continues. Hopefully this will help someone else's pin's and needles syndrome.
Based on looking at a bunch of built and shipped posts, looks like shipments are 1 per week approximately Wednesday or Thursday, and transit time to KC depot is approximately 2 weeks, most of it is for customs and border control.

Another data point. My MME order, after 9-month wait, built on 9/13, loaded at Lecheria on 9/16, passed through Laredo 9/20, arrived in KC vicinity 9/25, e.g. 9-10 days total from Mexico to KC. Sadly, it's now sat in the KCS intermodal rail yard Richards-Gebaur, MO for 11 days waiting for a ride to California. Some others whose MME shipped at the same time have seen their MMEs moved to their dealer on the East Coast. It does make the "waiting period" between "shipped" and "delivered" all the more frustrating when tracing opportunities are so scarce and/or erratic.

That's pretty much exactly what the lady from the train company told me, 4 days from Mexico to Laredo then 5 days to KC.

Unfortunately, the rail info never does populate in the ordertracker

Mine is coming to CA too. I have heard so many stories about CA-bound cars sitting for long periods at the KCS rail yard in MO. Here’s hoping yours gets out of there before mine gets there in a week or so.
