Who paid for installation? Did it myself. $50 in materials ( had some 6 gauge wire left over from another project. :) I don't think the $1000 credit is still available. Thought it expired in 2021.

Edit: I stand corrected the tax credit is for 30% off a charge-point home charger and up to $1000 on install.
As I understand it, it is of all chargers, plus installation cost. If you did it yourself, labor is $0, however there is still cost of materials. Total it all up and 30% of the total is claimable as a tax credit. Also there are no income limitations. It was set to expire last year, but was renewed till Dec 2022, I have not quite kept up with if it was added to the IRA bill for years going forward.

Ok, so it's official - Ford chat is useless, chatting them this morning and still have my car in Laredo Tx. Apparently they don't get updates very often. I'll have to check with the railroad.

I did it myself for 240V outlet . I do not want to install the wall charger as i do not see the need (over night charging vs two/three hour less time). here is the material list I bought, (DO NOT BUY NEMA 14-50 outlet from Homedepot, they are for home use, not for continuesly pull 32~40A ). if you never done the 120V work at home , DO NOT DIY, hire someone
1. NEMA 14-50 -- https://www.grainger.com/product/49...JqNkHvBKwxQE8IFJsmxoCu3kQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
2. cover plate-- https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07F82KT8V?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
3. 50A Circuit Breaker-- https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00002N5IJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
4. 6/3 wire: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Southwire-...Non-Metallic-Jacket-Wire-By-the-Foot/50101582 I bought 6 feet and used 3 feet even my outlet is right at panel as you have to bend the wire , and they are big
5. electric box -- https://www.lowes.com/pd/CANTEX-2-Gang-Plastic-Old-Work-Electrical-Box/5001725115 -- with this, I do not need (I can not ) nail it to stud
6. 1/2 bushing --https://www.lowes.com/pd/Sigma-Electric-ProConnex-1-2-in-Knockout-Bushing-Conduit-Fitting/3389588 --this is for your cable go through your panel box
7. you need big wire/cable cutting tool, the 6/3 is big and very hard to cut

Very neat setup. Nice to have the main breaker in the garage.

When I bought this house we had to rewire the whole house, so I ran 6gauge out the the detached garage and put a box out there. So it was a easy run to the NEMA 14-50 outlet ( I used a Hubbell 9450A 50a 120V Receptacle). But to run my charger and the heater I have out there I now have to run 4 gauge to the box so I can run 80amps. Good thing I ran 1" conduit all the way out. Starting to get cold here, so I need to do that in the next couple of weeks.

thanks. this side of garage wall has main panel and sub panel, the main panel is kind of busy , also with a generator interlock/CB, I decide to install it on subpanel. my garage is 2+1 and this side of wall is on the 1 garage side, but i will park the car in 2-car garage , i wish 20 ft is long enough to reach out car

Below 90. ???
When I say it's starting to get cold I mean 40's ( now long sleeve t-shirt weather ?). Cold in Chicago is the 30's I have to break out a jacket ??

What has been your time frames between arriving at the rail yard in your state to getting to your dealer?

Yeah and I am just a few hours away from lorado Texas. I just wish they can put it on a truck soon and I don't have to wait till November 8th! But I have waited this long already so just a few more weeks to go.... Enough time to make a wish list of all the accessories.

Same for me. Different train obviously… I’m in Chicago. It still says 10/15-10/21 here.
