As I understand it, it is of all chargers, plus installation cost. If you did it yourself, labor is $0, however there is still cost of materials. Total it all up and 30% of the total is claimable as a tax credit. Also there are no income limitations. It was set to expire last year, but was renewed till Dec 2022, I have not quite kept up with if it was added to the IRA bill for years going forward.Who paid for installation? Did it myself. $50 in materials ( had some 6 gauge wire left over from another project.I don't think the $1000 credit is still available. Thought it expired in 2021.
Edit: I stand corrected the tax credit is for 30% off a charge-point home charger and up to $1000 on install.
