Just wanted to let you guys know I closed the deal on a new Jaguar I-Pace. The discounts were just too good to pass up for me after being thoroughly impressed with my test drive. I'll be taking delivery on Wednesday.

Everyone here has been great (with one notable exception) and it's been fun, even during some of our heated political discussions. ;)

I wish everyone the best of luck with your Mach Es, I'm sure it's going to be a fantastic car!

Pete, I hope you're back to work in short order. :)

Take care guys!

What price did you get on the I-Pace?

Thanks Tim, yeah, I'm really excited. I would never have considered this car at anything near MSRP. They also actually gave me $1,500 more for my trade than I asked!! I don't think that's ever happened to me. Usually you have to fight to get anything near what you're asking for. They love getting Tesla trade-ins, so they tend to be a bit more liberal.

Interestingly, when I pulled into the dealer, there was a silver Model S parked there that they had just taken in as a trade. That's my model & color!

I'll be checking in occasionally to see how you guys are doing.

Very nice, and you still have Federal and local tax incentives in addition to that deal? I personally think it is the best looking in the category, but a little smaller than I would want. It's a proven design though with their I Pace racing series.

My local Jaguar dealer is stating $20,000 off a MSRP $84,000.00 2019 I Pace. They have a 2020 I Pace in stock but no details on "discounts". I'm not interested "right now".

And please post in the new MME vs I-Pace thread with your impressions of the Jaguar. I think many of us still have until next summer to make a decision.
I drove an I-Pace and a Tesla Model 3 Performance back-to-back. Here are my impressions:
1. The I-Pace accelerates about the same as an RS (I-Pace 0-60 4.5 sec., my RS w/sticky tires 4.2 sec.).
2. The M3P feels noticably faster (0-60 3.5 sec.) than an RS or I-Pace.
3. Both electrics lean more in the corners than an RS in track mode.
4. The M3P interior looks cheap in comparison to the RS, and especially the I-Pace.
5. The RS and M3P "feel" about the same size, and the I-Pace "feels" bigger.
6. You slide around in the seats during hard cornering more in an M3P and I-Pace, in comparison to an RS (the M3P seats are the worst, the I-Pace not as bad).

Yeah, no discounts of the magnitude of the 2019s on the 2020s. You'll get perhaps $3,000 off or a bit more. There's virtually no difference between the two model years, so for me the 2019 was a no-brainer.

So the I-Pace you got is the 2019 model year?
