Well I was planning on making a 100k mile post but unfortunately beginning of last month I was hit by a red light runner and the car ended up beeing a total loss.

It was one of the best cars I've owned granted it was my first EV I loved the little maintenance I had to do over the miles. As it is a 2021 build I had concerns with the HV baterry connectors but they didn't let me down. Only thing that was a pain is the front camera going out on me at about 40k miles, I bought a new one out of warranty for about $1,100 just for it to go out on me in 2 weeks time, so I decided to just drop it and drive with a broken one. I didn't use lane assist or cruise control at all when it did work so this didn't bother me as the 360-view camera was still functional which was one of my favorite features along with the 1-pedal drive.

I loved adding little things to the car here and there to give it personality and I enjoyed the work I put in through out the process. Everything from bulk cutting the stripes to painting calipers and a steering wheel/airbag cover swap, it was quite an adventure not to mention almost 100k miles spend behind the wheel in 2 years (Bought the car August 4th 2021 off the lot).

Thanks to everyone that posted information here to help me out with random questions/problems. Maybe I'll go for another Mach-E in my future, I really did enjoy every moment I spend in that car and working on it.

Wow that’s a lot of miles, especially impressive with the standard range battery. What’s your use case that you put 50,000 miles on it per year?

Glad it held up as good as it did for that many miles, that’s very encouraging! Sorry about the accident.

Wow…
I have to go about 98,000 miles more to match you.

It sounds like you loved your MME.

Are you going to get another one or fix your baby?

sad that you got wrecked but encouraging to see 100,000 happy miles compared to the all to numerous negative posts.

I am so sorry to hear that someone’s poor or inattentive driving ended your ownership of this car. It’s obvious you put a lot of thought into personalizing it. I’m glad you were able to walk away. 😕🐩

Wow, that sucks big time! Hopefully you weren't injured man! Make sure you submit ALL receipts for any maintenance parts & service you paid for within the last 12 mo to your ins carrier. They should reimburse you. Sometimes the cut-off may be 6mo prior to total loss. Make sure the market value of your Mach E is based of *exactly* similar vehicles for sale -- mostly are going to have lower mileage!

What a shame for you, hope you’re OK and get sorted with pay-out and replacement.

I’m at 65,000 miles of smiles and enjoying mine like you clearly enjoyed yours.

You didn’t, by any chance, do a state of health check on the HV battery at your high mileage?

That WOULD be interesting.

Interesting about he camera. Not much else went wrong, then?

I had the park brake wiring harnesses fail and we (me & dealer technician) think there’s a wheel bearing issue, possibly some kind of washer creaking in the driveline so going in this Thurs for that.

Apart from that it’s been windscreens & tyre and not much else, oh and the damage I caused when I reversed into son’s car which we don’t talk about, well I don’t but wifey still goes on & bloody on about it, you know what it’s like🤷🏼‍♂️

Take care & stay safe😁

Oh man, sorry to hear. It was a beautiful vehicle. You obviously put a lot of work into it. Now you're going to have to start over again. Will you do the same mods to the new one?
