All the pricks drove BMWs, then Audis, and now Teslas.
What, do they send out a memo to each other or something? "Hey gang time to switch brands. This year it's.........(sound of opening envelope)....Tesla!"

Why isn’t there a j1772 anti Karen plug cover like the Teslas have?

Proof: This feenoke in the pic was 2.5 miles from a Supercharger with like 12 stalls right off I35 or about 6.5 miles from another one with 10-12 stalls. Instead…..

Yes the nerve of someone using a public charger with at least 3 other unoccupied spaces at what was probably a more convenient location for them! Damn The Teslarati!!!!

Is your head in the sand?

Nothing newer to joke about it being Tesla, but come on... Simple observation, even just read this thread.

I only know two people that drive Teslas and they’re both great. No issues around sharing the chargers at work with them at all. The only one that has the entitlement issue is the RAV4 PHEV Karen… she plugs in and leaves it, finishes charging in 2.5hrs max if her battery is completely empty but refuses to let anyone else use the charger or swap plugs. She ends up never getting one of the the 4 chargers now 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's a numbers game. Not all Tesla owners are asshats. Someone needs to do a proper survey so we can look at some graphs. The Tesla Asshat Ownership Graph.
Of course it's a small minority of Tesla owners, but that's still a significant number. A fraction of any population segment will be asshats, but the size of that fraction is larger in some groups than others.

As EV owners who recognize the preciousness of chargers they should know better, though.

My DD has a PHEV and as a renter has to use public chargers. She has a laminated note she leaves in the window nearest the plug to the effect that if you need the charger, call her cell phone # which she includes, and she’ll give you permission to unplug her car. She’s very polite as she was raised right. Hehe.

I beg to differ on that since I am older, have been driving over 45 years and seen the worst pricks and awful drivers:
Mercedes Benz...
😂
Then, BMW, Audi and now Teslas....

I find Bolts especially annoying. They hog the L2 chargers, and take forever to charge on the DCFC pumps.

So you're telling me that the tesla owner should have to drive 2.5 more miles just to charge at a supercharger station? If that's the case, then other EVs shouldn't use the Superchargers once they're available.

When I first got my Plug-in Prius I was living in an apartment and had to use public charging. I have been unplugged 3 times over the years, one was obviously someone who was being curious, they had unplugged the car and pushed the plug back in but not far enough so it didn't restart charging. Another time it was just unplugged no idea why. The third time it was unplugged by a Zero Motorcycle rider. It turned out that this rider was a friend of mine and he had unplugged the car thinking that it was already fully charged.

With the Mach-e I do most of my charging at home so this has not been an issue. Free charging is not a bad thing but finding one that is not in use is a challenge in these parts. I don't usually bother.

Yes, without a doubt. In my mind, Prius drivers used to be the worst but I think that most of them went out and bought Tesla's
I used to drive a Prius Prime and never hogged a charger. Bought a MME instead of a Tesla. I almost always change at home anyway.

This finger pointing at Tesla/Audi/BMW/others owners should be seen as a "bad penny" issue. The "good" Tesla/Audi/BMW/others drivers, who do not unplug others, are ignored. While the "bad" ones are remembered. Just as someone getting a "bad penny" will remember it even though they have a bunch of good pennies.
