I’m a new owner of a Mach-E Premium and I want to plan a rod trip for Spring Break to Tampa/Clearwater, Florida. I would love any advice/suggestions on taking my Mach-E on the road.

I've gone from Metro Atlanta to Orlando and Metro Atlanta to Panama City Beach but never to Tampa.

Despite not really needing to stop and charge in Macon, we try to time our trips so that we are due to eat in Macon and stop at a Georgia Power station off Zebulon so we can eat at Fazoli's. Stopping here means we can skip Cordele and Lake City.

Be warned that the EA in Cordele is usually in a crappy state with only 2 of the stations working. It is also an area that does not feel all that safe if your stop is at night.

I have had good experiences at the EA in Valdosta.

I have heard bad things about Lake City but have no personal experience. We arrange our journey so there is no need to stop in Lake City.

I have had good experiences at the EA in Gainesville, FL.

So despite ABRP planning stops in Cordele and Lake City, we stop in Macon(with a meal), Valdosta, and Gainesville(we typically are in a condo and use this stop to buy the grocery items for the condo).

The charger in Lake City by I-10 is fine, it's at a mom and pop gas station but it's an Electrify America station with Fast Chargers and I've used it often. It's 1-2 exits east of the I-10/75 junction.
Coming up and down 75 I use the EA at Valdosta and Cordele and Forsyth the most. All three are in Walmart parking lots so you can stretch your legs go the restroom etc....

Not sure about south of I-10 as we head east from there but I'd use Plugshare to read reviews and know what's available.

Don't forget researching the charging options near your destination in Tampa is just as important as the trip. How you stay charged there while on Vaca is a big factor on a road trip people forget about. Make sure your hotel or AirBB has charging access.
