How is the semi-autonomous driving on the Genesis?
Nobody seems to want to talk about that. Apparently, the internal Hyundai code name for hands-free driving is “Bruno” 😀😀😀

Actually Jim, Outside of the hands free; the Hyundai/Kia is much better. You can use the lane keep assist Independent of the cruise control and vice versa. Which means you can auto steer on city streets (and I mean like lane keeping, not just ping-ponging) and then you can control the speed/brake pedal and let the car steer. Of course just my opinion; now, on a long-trip the hands free is great.
Hmmm. You are aware that you can use lane-keeping without cruise control on the Mustang Mach E. And the only way the car would “ping-pong” would be if you drove it like that, since your hands are on the steering wheel at all times (right? 😉). I leave it on all the time.

Oh, I know Jim. If you get the chance try a Kia's Lane Keep and you will see what I mean.

Oh, right 😀 you keep distracting me from the “hunting” part of your name by repeatedly flashing pics of your really amazing dog! 😀
What dog? That’s me. 😁🐩

Good luck! In my last Employer, one lady had a Stinger, the other had a Genesis. Both had issues, from broken seats, to broken roof glass, to getting threats of voiding warranty from a dealership for not rotating or replacing tires!
Is still got my 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan - 185K miles and a lifetime warranty!
I’ll take that over a Ford dealer that flat out refuses to work on a car they sold or perform NHTSA recalls.

We decided to trade our 2021 Premium AWD in for a 2025 Genesis GV60 AWD. It is a bittersweet goodbye. While we have had no issues with our Mach E, after driving the GV 60 there is just no comparison. For just slightly more money, we get a much better vehicle with loads of luxury and tech. Range will be about 20 miles less but that has never been issue for us. There were also some other factors:

Charging is much much faster.

Better warranty: 5years/60 bumper to bumper as well as a 10year/100K drivetrain warranty. The dealer we bought from also extends the warranty to 20 years/200K on the entire car for no extra price. (I know, who keeps a car that long nowadays).

Cabin interior and layout is so much better than Mach E. Probably the most comfortable seats I have ever had in a car in 50 years of driving.

The tech, including the heads up display, is just so much beyond the Mach E.

Tesla supercharger network opens to Genesis in 2025.

So it is with a nod and bow to the members here. You have been wonderful in discussing and sharing information on the Mach E. I wish you all well.

Oh...as I am sure some one will ask, we got $28K trade in on our 2021 Premium AWD ER. Not the best, but EV resell prices really suck.
Looks like a nice car and I hope they sell every one they make. For me, though, it’s more money for less range. The deal breaker for me is having to buy the even more expensive model with even less range to get a heated steering wheel. I’m old and love keeping my hands warm!!!!🥶

You are talking about lane centering not lane keep. They are two different options in the Hyundai/Kia/Genesis line. We also have an Ioniq 5 and love the ability to have lane centering on even when the cruise is off.

It’s not even close to the same thing. The genesis had lane centering which will street and keep you centered in the lane.

As does the MME. you can actually feel it steer if you begin to drift out of a lane. Mind you, it’s a corrective torque to remind you to take action. The vehicle is not, in any way, “autonomous” or “hands-free” when you just have the lane system turned on.

My daughter just traded her 14 year old Fit for an Acura ZDX EV.
We're trying to baby the Fit along (read: keep it in the garage, although it currently isn't ) because my son is not yet of age to drive, but is real close and I don't want to put a brand new driver behind the MME's wheel.

I mean, we're under 100k miles. I'm not worried about the engine/transmission. The body and rust, on the other hand...

Woah, the advanced trim has "sport tuned electronically controlled suspension with road preview". I was wondering when someone was going to introduce road preview into a suspension system.

You don’t know what you are talking about. I have both card and in our Hyundai I can take my hands The wheel and the car will steer itself with jerking around. It’s not a corrective torque like in the mach e. It is like when you are driving with cruise on in the Mach e on a road that is not blue cruise enabled. The difference is in the Hyundai/kia/genesis you don’t have to have the cruise control on.
