The title is a bit misleading (Age of MachE owners/leaders. Then the poll is about the future (potential/future owners). I’m a current owner. I’d wager most Mache forum members are dominated by owners.

Poll was started over 2 years ago. Everyone was a “future owner” then.

I have owned a 2022 premium extended range for 14 months and I love it and have not had any issues to deal with. I sold a 1955 chevy pick up, original condition, that I worked on myself and drove for 23 years.,for a new experience.
I was coming up to my 80th birthday in 22 and decided that now was the time to get involved in something that would be a challenge.
I wanted to see about converting the pick up to electric. After checking around it was very expensive and still a new concept. So I decided to jump in with both feet and go the MME route.
I sold the truck at auction and applied the money to the new Premium and waited 7 months for it to arrive. In the interim I read as much as I could about the car and issues that appeared in the forum.
I was not discouraged by some of the posts, and figured that a majority of issues were owners not educating themselves about the vehicle and it’s new systems.
As a pilot and having flown both aircraft and helicopters for the last 60 plus years, I am not adverse to testing new ways to handle challenges. Going from round gauges to computer screens was just as big of an adjustment as a new EV.
I figured that as with any computer system you must have a little patience and not be entitled to a perfect operating vehicle. After all I am in on the ground floor of a new era of EV development
I figured that this is the last vehicle I will own and intend to enjoy the ups and downs(if I have any).

I'm guessing the Ford marketing team would be more than a little pleased with the results of this poll.

30-54 demographic/ Gen X and Millenials- Nailed it!

Might have been said, but we should factor in the age of people who generally use internet forums. The actual number could be that 90% of Mach-E owners are 85+, its just the people who are on forums and respond are the 10% of mach-e owners under 85.

I'm unsure as to whether or not I should take this comment seriously.

Probably not a lot. There's 2 big near-prerequisites for buying a Mach-E:

- Being fairly well-off financially (it's not a cheap car, and there ain't any cheap used ones yet)
- Having L2 where you live, which usually means owning a house

While those aren't 100% absolutes, they surely apply to most in order for it to even be a consideration. And that usually means someone deeper into their life/career making better money (or retired).
Also, in this poll, only includes the demographic that would join this forum.
