Sitting down to watch TV and about 10 minutes in my car alarm goes off in my garage. I run and grab my fob and turn it off. Check the car an nothing seems out of the ordinary. Odd, I go back to the TV. 15 minutes later, alarm goes off again. I run out the garage, turn off the alarm and see nothing. Open the front door and at first see nothing, then notice a flicker near light over the back door. A moth was flying around inside the car. I opened the rear door and let it fly out, close the doors and no more alarms. That is one sensitive motion sensor.

Have you considered leaving the car unlocked when it’s in the garage?
I could. Just never had that issue before and the car always auto locks as soon as I walk away. I know that can be turned off but I like it when I'm not in the garage. Just thought it was a fun story.

About two weeks ago my car started sounding the alarm when it was pre-conditioning for a Departure Time. Happens about 1 out of 3 times.

I am now the most popular guy in the neighborhood since I have a Departure Time set for 6:15 am.

Curious if you have anything hanging, like an air freshener or something from your mirror. I could see the preconditioning kick in and the vents turn on and start blowing something around and triggering the motion sensor.

I'm having the same issue with my alarm. Does anyone know if there's a fix? My Mach E lives on the side of my house and worried my neighbors will (rightfully) start complaining.

there is a TSB for random alarm activation. apparently the 23's went out with buggy door modules. in FDRS i could see that there were updates pending for all 4 door modules a few weeks after i got the car.

supposedly my dealer applied them when i had the car in for service, but i haven't followed up to see if the updates were really applied. in theory this is not an update, it's a reversion to the previous version of the door module code, or so i've read.
